I love the gun. Just can't shoot it really well. It's either I can't shoot or my posture for shooting is all messed up. But from 30 yards, I'm able to hit center mass. It also has more kick then I expected. My gun whore buddies says, "you can't be an expert hand gun shooter for shooting only 3 times in your life, it takes years of practice."

    WTF was I thinking!

I bought it from a co worker. Got a pretty good deal out of it. That is the only reason why I purchased it. If it wasn't such a good deal, I would of opt for a 9mm P239 instead. the review for the gun is awesome and I was able to shoot the gun pretty good for being a first timer so I decided to pick it up.

I shot a few different guns before deciding on the .40 P239. But they were mostly glocks.

those have been on since last thursday, I'd imagine stocks are getting low. with that said, great set for shooting, I have a somewhat similar pair that I wear, and they're great for indoor/outdoor shooting, the strike array is nice because you've got the clear and the smoke lenses, a lot like the ESS sets that the military provides to our troops.

My son owns a Mosin Nagant 91/30 - great fun to shoot, no pics.

He also recently picked up a Ruger SR40c, and the wife just picked up a Ruger SR9c last weekend. I'll have to get some pics taken.

Next for me is either an HK45 or Glock 21.

I have an HK45c and love it. I need to find a Glock 19, I have a 34 and it's a great gun to shoot.

So... when is the next outing? I finally popped my cherry a couple months ago. I am now firmly in "test/research" mode.

Here's another pic of my 300 AAC Blackout AR, and my new safe-queen... Walther P1 Police Issued side arm, based on my research and database searches it appears that it was issued to the Munich Police in October of 1985, and avoided ever being issued to an officer until it was retired and dispatched in July of 1994. 9 years on a shelf, 100% brand new with one round down the pipe from Karl's shop and nothing since. I'll likely never shoot it, but it sure is purdy (IMO). I've also got a Sig Pro in 9mm that's one of 5,000 made for the South African Special Police Forces, it's a real pleasure to shoot.

wife surprised me with a new little plinker... (Thanks to Shorten and 05GTMN) for conspiring behind my back and helping her choose...

If it wasnt for the price of ammo (and of course the gun itself at teh moment) the Full sized AR15 would be here, instead she got my a family toy to plink adn play with when I am shooting the S&W M&P 9mm.....

going from a wife who didnt want a gun in teh house to a woman who got her p2p and bought me this, the case, a nice scope and almost a green laser but decided I could get the other add ons when I want.. got me a good woman...

Also we picked this up for my 8yr old.. 1250fps ;) (read for me before my wife bought me my own play thing)

no one had the Nitro Piston one in stock so we got him the standard one... Should be fun though but we havent done the big family present opening day yet so New Years day he gets it..

Shorten and Mlgez I am ready for another day of shooting at my house

Well I went to purchase my Savage 308, but it turns out because of the overwhelming purchase across America all the paper work will be delayed by 3 days as they want to take a closer look at every case. Anyways I've gone ahead and purchased some rounds and was talking with the clerk and he was giving me some really cool idea's about how to break in a new rifle properly. Using 12 rounds with a cool down and clean job between each round. Feel free to chime in if you have any tips.

I'm also looking at a nice scope as well. He recommended the CenterPoint 4-16x40 w/mili dots. He has this scope and told me it made the Scope of the year and hs out performed many top brands. A NightForce would be nice but it's way too early in the game. ;)

I already mentioned this purchase elsewhere last week but pics are always fun even if it's a pretty plain looking scary black rifle.

RRA LAR-8 "Predator HP" basically an AR type rifle chambered in .308/7.62x51 NATO.
Probably start searching for a scope pretty soon. I hoping to get lucky someday and find some "affordable" ammo for it.

Once things get a bit warmer I'll be down there in a heartbeat. Jack is going to be back soon and he was asking about you. I'm sure he and a few of the others would be more than willing to come down and help educate him!

That and I'll get Karen going on a 12ga this time. She'll love it.

I was just at Bill's in Robbinsdale on Wednesday night. Only about 6 lanes were being used. No waiting. It might be easier planning a shooting night rather than during the day.

My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
A Sig 226 is a solid choice as well, I had a 229 that I still kick myself for trading because I miss it. The good news is that I may be getting it back sometime soon. The 226/229 are both decent guns, if you're getting the 226 then go for the Mk25.

My Glock 34 has the same frame as a 17, we could try you out on that or a 19. I can also turn you loose on my M&P and my HK45c. Between all of those we should have most of the major service pistols/calibers covered.
