Jason, I've got 2 free rentals at Bill's for the next outing if ya wanna shoot the DE some more(maybe they'll have the .50 available:) ) The 44 was indeed fun but I do remember it having some issues with feeding or something.

1,000 rounds is not hoarding, that's just getting started;)

Good, because that's not the problem. I dropped off the paperwork for my P2P on a wed after 4:30 pm. I had the approval letter in my mailbox the following friday. I have a clean record, but really, a 1 day turn around. I find it hard to believe that they did their best checking my background.

Hopefully pretty soon I will have something to add to this thread.

Yeah, you have to hold it like a man with your big man hands wrapped around it. You can't one hand and cradle it, or let it rest on the non grip hand. It has to be allowed to do its full recoil like normal. That gun is practically made to be fired one handed.

Pretty much this, I'd rather spend a little more and get a firearm that I know will always be flawless.

I just went to the Maplewood police dept to drop off my permit to purchase. Dropped it off on the 13th, they signed/stamped it on the 14th and it was in my mailbox on the 15th. So I can't imagine that they reall did much more then pull up my name in whatever local databases they have access to and call it a day. I took me 3 days to get my federal background check done just to get my job at Cummins.

Anyways, I am looking at the XDm in 9mm for some range fun for now. It is time for a new hobby and I think this will be it. I will have to post up some of my other items later.

Down here in Rochester, I dropped my P2P renewal off at the Olmsted police dept and was told it was going to be 3-4 weeks for me to get it back. I was hoping for the 5-7 days like last time.

Picked up a sporterized Enfield in 303 Brit on the cheap, was sporterized in the spirit of the jungle carbines, matching numbers on the bolt and barrel/receiver which was a nice bonus, seeing as it was so cheap.

Is that the new X300Ultra or just the standard X300?

Nice Sig, what's it chambered in?

Chambered in 9mm I believe it's just the regular x300 super bright though.

I run a X400 on my carry gun but I'm looking at an X300Ultra for my rifle.

Yes, they are bright even at the 170 lumen output. My Surefire P2X Fury Defender is rated at 500 lumens and will leave spots in your eyes for a day, if not longer.

These were from Reed's Gun Fair going on this weekend. I tested a bunch of guns, shot lots of clay pigeons and met some professionals and got some pointers.

I picked up these custom1911 grips for my dads Kimber Custom. They are made from Cocabola wood and a slim line which make them almost 1/2 the thickness of the standard grips.

That's pretty sweet! I just got an Archangel stock for a Remington 597 (.22LR) yesterday and put it together last night. Behold, the Ender of Worlds!
    IMG_20130618_224040_466.jpg

Here's the side-by-side of the old stock to the new parts for comparison. The whole thing took about an hour while I watched TV and had my daughter help.

I miss my Taurus pt92, thing was fun to shoot.

Ended up picking up a Sig Sauer SP2022 9mm last week, on Friday, to add to our collection at the house. Now to just find ammo for it and a holster, so I can carry it lol

Now, if I can get away from these 60 hour weeks, I might have some time to go to the range and get some practice in.
