My wife ordered up her new Sig P238 the other day. Looks like they are currently on back order as the Black Pearl version is new as of this year. We will wait patiently until then. After handling this pistol I'm definitely looking forward to running some rounds through it.

I got to bills a couple weekends ago, heard the same old thing i've been hearing about Px4. Decided not to shoot it, but shot Glock 23Gen4. Really liked it! I think I'll shoot 19Gen4, next time i'm in town. If i'm not mistaken, 23/19 are 40 vs. 9 correct?

Bought a 12 gauge for home defense a little while ago, changed out the stock for one with a pistol grip. Went to shoot some slugs at my local range last weekend. I've never fired a shotgun before, man does that thing pack a punch.

Correct, the 19 is a 9mm and one of my favorite pistols to shoot. Great size for all around use.

Try a Knoxx stock, they make them in 3 different varieties depending on what you're looking for. They're recoil reducing, I can rapid fire magnum slugs as fast as I can work the slide and do it all day long. Proper technique will also help with recoil mitigation. The ergos on that folder you've got there look like they suck which could be contributing to the recoil issue as well.

You're likely right about the stock, I'll look, into Knoxx, thanks.

I've got them on both my 870 Police Magnum and my Mossberg 590A1, I highly recommend them.

I've taught a few people on here to shoot with them, they can attest to the recoil. It turns it into a gentle push, I'll load a magnum slug as a noisemaker and they just realize it was a lot louder. Stay away from the Mesa Tactical Hydraulic buffers, I've heard a lot of stories of them leaking with low round counts. Also check out Hans Vang and his barrels, that can help with the recoil as well.

Can anyone recommended a good range near Coon rapids? Looking for a clean range with rentals and a fair price?
I have heard Bill's is going downhill and to stay away.
My father is a member @ oakdale/lake Elmo, but I would like to find a place closer to home.
My son and I like to shoot rifles and shotguns but also want to start handguns.

    Thank

I live in Blaine and have started going to Lakes Trading Co in Forest Lake. Cant say enough good things about them. They are a newer facility but have very reasonable rates and friendly staff and instructors.

Picked this Sar Arms B6P by EAA up a couple of months back as my carry. Small and light enough for me. Put about 200 rounds with no jam. So far so good.

This is the first one I shot and I gotta say the thing is like butter! We did a thorough cleaning on it prior to shooting and then put about 200-250 rounds without a single hiccup. Very impressed with this pistol.

It's the p238 black pearl edition. P238 is chambered in 380. She looked at the 938 which is nearly identical but a shade larger and 9mm but decided on this for conceal carry purposes.

938 is about 1/2" longer with the slide length and about 1/2" deeper grip frame wise. The standard 238 Pearl was what got my wife hooked on it, great little shooters, basically what I always suggest to people if they're looking for a better built gun for deeper carry.

    Sounds fun.

BTW anyone have anything that uses 10mm? I got a bunch of misc. ammo from my dad and there are some 10mm but I don't have anything that uses them. Free to anyone who wants them

Nate's bday was a fun shooting day, next time I'll bring something other than the MINI so I can bring more guns and ammo with.

Driveshaft, how many rounds of 10mm do you have? I'd be interested, it'd give me a reason to pick up one of the Tangfolio 10mm's we've got at work.

Anyone know of a good store/site to get hard-to-find handgun parts?
Looking for a 9mm barrel and magazines for a Norinco model 54-1. I've tried googling it many times found the mags but no barrel.
    Thanks
