Made a Sig P320 franken-gun using a subcompact slide and full size grip. Had to chop off a bunch of the dust cover to fit the slide, but it works great and doesn't look too odd.

Nice shield! I have a gen 1 shield with an Apex trigger kit. One of the best shooting single stack 9mm pistols I own.

    Great! What would you get?

How do you like the ported barrel? Bet it's got some pretty bright muzzle flash, but helps you on quick shots. I also got it for single stack slimness and light weight. I carry mine in a Crossbreed IWB holster. Super comfy.

I must admit, I've been eyeing the Sig P365. I've stopped by Arnzen Arms a couple times and they've been sold out of them. Supposedly a 1.5 stack magazine that can hold 10+1 9mm in a gun the same size as the Shield and roughly similar slimness.

I would probably get another 9mm. I sold my Springfield 4.5 BiTone two years ago and have been pistol-less ever since. Unsure as to what brand i would get because i like quite a few of them! Lol

I’m hoping that my dad leaves my grandfathers WW2 issued 1911 to me when he passes. It would definitely mean alot to me because of its history.

Really digging that new one that you picked up! I had a Sig Mosquito plinker back in the day and really enjoyed the feel of the Sigs. Who knows...my budget will probably be BRZ focused for awhile anyways! :)

Recently had my hands on an STI. Pretty comfy gun as well!

We've gotten a ton in (Arnzen Arms), but the pre-orders keep on building in numbers. As of last night, we had 30 pre-orders right now still pending. If you're waiting to just grab one off the shelf, it'll likely be a while.

Wow. Well, I'm not in any hurry to get another subcompact 9. I'm more interested in just checking it out in person to see if I like the grip. To my small hands, the single stack Shield has the most comfortable grip. I did pick up a small grip module for the p320 subcompact I got from Arnzen and that probably is the nicest double stack grip for me. Have you handled a p365 yet? Any opinions?

If that's the case, we have a non-functional tester from Sig that's the same weight and everything, just non-functional so you can check the three mags and everything.

Feel is really nice, Sig is really good at making small guns feel bigger in your hand than they actually are. Its a shame they're tough to get rolling in large enough numbers to satisfy the market.

We could EASILY sell 10 a day and a ton of the 12rd mags, if Sig could get them cranked out and to us fast enough. Pretty sure it's like the 210's and Legions where we've been seeing more than anyone else.

It is still my octane 45. I am going to start up the paperwork on a Chimera 300 and a Hybrid 46. I was holding off hoping the hearing protection act would start moving, but since that looks dead I will just wait out the ATF.

I like this type of IWB holster. Has a leather back that's against your body so it doesn't leave any edges to poke you. Also keeps sweat away from the gun. Kydex is riveted to the leather and I use a heat gun to adjust the retention force. Clips are a tuckable type and work well with dress shirt and slacks. I normally wear a 34, but mostly buy 36 size pants to accommodate the holster. I highly recommend this type for IWB carry.

Got a X01 in today. Waited several months for it since pre-ordering back in January. Takes the fire control unit from the Sig P320 along with slide and barrel to make a complete firearm. Neat little pistol. Haven't tried it yet, but I found a good place to put my Sig Romeo 5.

Was in Eden Prairie so I stopped by Arnzen and picked up a S&W Model 63. I've always liked revolvers and didn't have one in 22lr. The 3" barrel is a little bit odd to me, being used to even numbered lengths (2", 4", 6", etc.). Grip is just the right size for my hands and good mass weight.

I've always liked S&W for their nice revolvers, but this M63 trigger pull is ridiculously heavy. I had to use my bow scale to measure the peak weight! 13#... I figured rimfires would need a harder hit to ensure ignition, but this is a little too much. I'm going to order up some lighter springs for both trigger return and hammer to hopefully make double action shooting a possibility. Single action shooting is great. Trigger breaks crisply at 3# without much overtravel.

I've got a half day at work today and then I'm going to do a full trigger job on this guy. I've reworked about 10 revolver triggers at this point (this will be #11) so I've got confidence this will turn out well. Parts look good and fit together well. Some polishing of mating surfaces and deburring ought to smooth things up a tad.

Got a Wolff reduced power spring pack and got the DA pull down to just under 10# and way smoother than stock. Need to go shoot and see if I get any ignition issues with the lighter hammer spring.

I'd imagine you should be fine, those still carry a fair bit of energy with the hammer and never seem to have much hammer drag. Definitely have shot 22's with lighter striker weight springs.

And the classic Ruger Redhawk 44 Magnum. It’s Ford tough you know and a great truck gun.

    Thank you.

One of my favorites. I had them put on the American Walnut vs the black/ grey laminate it came with....which was also very sharp. Love the old 45-70 Gov. as well.

Thanks Curly. It comes with Black and Grey laminate which is also sharp and impervious to humidity and temperature but I always thought a lever gun should be in wood. Just my taste. I like the walnut stainless combo.

That was my first time there, its kind of a haul to get there. I don't know of any other 200+ yd ranges in the area. I'd like to try the range at the Horse and Hunt Club, but you have to have a membership.
