My new Chrome Exhaust tip

well...had it for a couple weeks...but finally took a picture. my old exhaust setup ended pointing right at the left rear inner DOJ....which cooked it and caused it to fail (well. it didn't actually fail, but was in pretty nasty shape!). so when I got a new axle, I cut about a foot off the exhaust, but still wanted to point it at the ground.

so, I bought this......

(just ignore the bent sway bar bracket....)



thank god you can't see it unless you're laying on the ground next to the car :eek3:


while I was under there, I took a little video clip of the exhaust sound too......it's uploading zzzzzzzzzzzzz

 

Well that looks interesting and How can your car be that loud with that many resonators and cats?

 

dont you have dialup?

 

it's actually not too loud. but I am running 3 cats and a resonator behind my borla header.

yea....which is why the 1.5Mb video has been uploading for 20mins.

 

Does the sound bounce off the ground back up into the car?

 

my honda was like that, but shorter and with no cats. It was loud.. i miss it.

Thats kind of how my olds is set up, but with a non chrome, huge turndown

 

My 89 civic had a huge ridicules can and everything else rusted so it was just straight pipe in between, it was fun and the car could take abuse all day, the rpm gauge would read 9200 Pinned!

yessir. it's pretty funny, when I drive over the lift bridge (where the sound can go right through the roadway), I almost can't hear the exhaust at all.
