My 1995 v4 sti swapped subie finally arrived :)
drove off the truck onto the drive and now have tried to start it again and all I get is the tick tick tick from the fuel pump (I think).
It's dark so I won't get a chance to look at it now until tomorrow but other than the battery and maybe the ground to the starter, is there anything else I should prioritize?
Another 'minor' issue is the fact that there is no power inside the cars cabin. Any ideas? This was also the case when it started off the truck so probably not related. Because of this there is no light and I can't tell if it's out of fuel (and it's dark).
I would have thought if the starting issue was down to fuel it would still turn over.
Like I said it turned over off the truck and then I drove it on to the drive.
    Any thoughts welcome :)
    Thanks
    Munky
oh and the guy who shipped it thought I was mad paying so much for what he thoguht was a POS until I showed him the engine!!!

Thanks will do. Any other suggestions welcome!
I wondered if it could be a stuck starter motor.

I was thinking starter, but that doesn't explain the lack of power in the car. I'd charge that battery. otherwise being a manual transmission, you could allways push start the car and dump the clutch.

I think the lack of power in the car was something different but could be the source of a battery drain I guess...

Okay, the damn thing has me beat!
Anyone recommend someone who does home visits?
The battery is not perfect but isn't the problem.
    Thanks

It could be any number of things. Diagnosing this stuff over the internet is rather difficult.

Get a multimeter and start checking everything over.

make sure the fusible link is good, that will kill power to ecu and etc.

Do you have a multimeter? You're chasing your tail without one.

    Yes on the multimeter thanks.
Where do I find the fuseable link?
Sorry to be so dull. I'm new to anything without carbs and a single coil!

Thanks. I've checked all of the fuses under the fuse cover and they all seem good. Not sure if one of the relays had gone. Am going to check again tonight.
Thanks for all of the advice and help!

So what does it do?? Like with good details. Does it turn over?? Can you hear the fuel pump prime?? Do your interior lights turn on?? What is the voltage on the battery?? Do you have power INSIDE the car??

There has been too many random suggestions and not enough details to come to most of the conclusions that have been posted.
