Well I have been thinking about this for a while and finally found a SOLID body. This thing, ignoring the surface rust, has only two very tiny holes in it that I have found so far. So here is the next big build. I am sure this is going to take a bit of time to finish.

Edit: Forgot to mention car is a 1931 Olds. Nothing like 80 year old metal.

And now the mock up. Keep in mind I am going to channel the body so it will sit much lower so the engine will be higher up in reference to the body. It will look much better at that point.

I am going to go with either 6 downdraft carbs, 3 two barrel carbs, or what is looking the best right now is keeping the fuel injection and loosing the intake and putting 6 vertical throttle bodies on it. Will have to go stand alone but that is the plan for the ignition anyway. I will loose most of the wiring on the motor. Going to go very minimal on this car.

LOL, yes I will need to shorten the frame some. It is a little long in the front with this setup.

The 3.3L Subaru will be NA for now but the plan is in the future after it is on the road to add an old school belt drive blower to it.... just for something different and something that will fit the body style.

I kinda did forget to mention that the car is a 1931 Olds. I am going old school with most of the build. IF it gets paint it will be flat something. Wire or steel wheels with big white walls.

There is parts there to do rear coil over but I want to get it back to leaf springs. Right now the front is dual leaf but I would like to go to a single leaf in the front instead of one on each side. This car is not going to be about corning that is for sure. Going for something in between a rat rod and a hot rod. I am not into shiny bits and chrome (I would get too pissed off if it got scratched) but I am not sure I want to go rusty rod either.

    My opinion exactly.

This is awesome looking! It will be an great project. If it weren't for the suicide doors I would have said to chop it into a coupe.
