"Partner" eh? Did this just become a pyramid scheme as well?

I'm being honest. Every response I've had has been honest. This is the internet and I could be a clown show, but I've chosen to be straight forward. I have one big "partner" kind of thing. Again, it's personal.

Here's the thing. I did it. You can do it. I didn't break any laws. I have talked to the proper authorities. I keep excellent records.

Rules, laws, and regulations are meant to protect people. That's why it is newsworthy when a lemonade stand gets busted. Because it's silly. The law wasn't written to protect people from kids selling lemonade. The laws for car sales are similar. I'm not breaking laws and nobody needs to be protected from what I do. I pay taxes and report all purchases and sales. I feel we have covered everything.

Then.....tell....us....Wth you mean about legit reasons to go around the 5 car maximum...that's all we are looking for. If it's lawful and hurts no one, fine. If you don't tell us, or it's illegal, the thread should be shut down.

Very simple, there's your black and white.

Then why start this thread? You've admitted you operate in a grey area. "Grey area" and "100% legal" contradict. There are only two reasons to keep your method a secret. Either is's not "100% legal" or your secret sauce is so tasty that you're afraid everybody will want to make it. I'm betting on the former.

Ding Ding Ding Ding. It has been asked like 5 times now and it has been met with partial answers. Reading between the lines OP uses his wife or some relative/children to title the cars and that is how you get around the 5 car limit.
The only reason people are asking so many questions and questioning the legality of this whole loophole is because you made it sound so sketchy by dancing around the answer. If it is 100% legal and you are so confident then why on earth wouldn't you just come straight out in your original post saying "This is how I get around the 5 car limit"?
If I write a post saying "5 steps to get rich quick" and the 4th step is "then some magic happens that is totally legal but I don't want to write about it" I would sound like a snake oil salesman with something to hide.

As stated on the PennyHorder website, you can work with a partner. There are ways around the 5 car max. and like I said, my way is personal and doesn't need to be discussed. Moving on, I feel we have discussed everything in more than enough detail to satisfy those interested in doing this. If someone wants even further assistance they can reach out to a lawyer, tax specialist, or other party. I would be more than happy to advise anyone who wants to try their first car.

So I'm supposed to guess that your working with a partner? If that's the case then the numbers your giving don't make sense. Unless they are working for free....or dead.

    Shady as all get out.

Except how you do it...still not answered.

Now you have at least 5 mods shining a flashlight in your face and telling you to blow in a little computer.

So you sold 5 cars in your name and your "partner" sold 5 cars in their name, so who sold the other 5 cars of the total 15? And where do you find these nice "partners" that don't require splitting your $16k in profit?
Someone interested in doing this definitely doesn't have enough details to be confident that it is 100% legal because your non answers are so shady.
The only thing your post does is brag about how much money you have made and saying it was all completely legal but that we shouldn't worry about the details.

Your post could have been written by Bernie Madoff before he got caught. "Hey look at how much money I am making in the stock market! Its totally 100% legal trust me, I am friends with all kinds of politicians and even president Obama could invest with me. Don't worry about the details, I made a bunch of profit and I'm not in jail right now so it is obviously not against the law I swear. I am honestly being super duper honest about being totally honest with you"

Are any of you on car #5? Do you need help figuring out to do with your next car? I didn't think so. Its a new year in a few days. Start with 1 car. See if you find the experience fun, enjoyable, and beneficial. I started that way. I had fun doing it, and kept on. Does it matter if you think I'm shady? No. What matters is what happens when YOU do it. This is about you all. Not about me. I'm sorry that I can't divulge all of my insider secrets. You really don't need to know, as my situation is likely different from yours. I gave a lot of details that I didn't need to share already.

I sold 3 cars and did actually look up what I would have to do if I decided to sell more. What I found was that after you sell 5 you need a dealer license and insurance so I didn't want to bother with that. If I was convinced that it was legal to sell more without the license I may have done more. You still haven't proven how what you are doing is actually 100% legal and not a grey area so anyone reading this thread should assume it is not legal and would be at risk for trouble if they follow your advice.

But whatever. It is pretty clear you aren't going to answer because what you are doing is not 100% legal. Not to mention the fact that your arguments for your legality consisted of saying lemonade stands were MORE illegal (implying that what you do is illegal but just less so than lemonade stands) and that laws are just made to protect people (not true) and since you aren't hurting anyone therefore you aren't breaking the law.

Except in the little details of this site where it says we do not condone unlawful behavior or conduct.

Now here.....We stumbled across a guide on how skate taxes on income and defraud the state gov. Which is awesome....I really like it when MN fixes our roads and bridges...and they get some of that money based on taxes.

I don't think it's unreasonable or unrealistic that several informed people and several moderators are asking you to explain yourself. (BTW I know MNSubiez condones unlawful behavior, can shoot this idea of yours over there)

    Just sayin.....

In no post have I asked anyone to break any laws. In my original post I state clearly that there are simply ways around the 5 car limit. Throughout the thread a few of them have openly been discussed and as they are perfectly legal, I don't really know what we are doing. Just do one of those...??? I welcomed anyone to try one car and have never stated that they should attempt to sell more than the allotted 5 cars. You have broken down all the laws and have not found anything illegal in what I'm doing. I've discussed what I do with the proper authorities. What more can I do? You all WANT some more personal information, but you absolutely don't have any NEED for it. My situation is likely different than yours. Not better or worse, just different. And my situation will very likely not apply to you, so it wouldn't be to your benefit. You are all yelling, but that's just noise. It doesn't have anything behind the noise. I really could sell a car to Obama. His people could do all the background checks and dig into every depth of my personal life. It would be ok. So I kindly believe that the noise should stop.

You all have proven that its ok to do 5 cars. You all have proven that you can do more than 5 using work arounds.

I really don't see the purpose of this "gift" unless you were looking to recruit down on their luck people into your highly classified scheme to share "insider secrets". Which would be considered pyramid marketing, that I'm willing to bet you also don't have a license for...

Yes, you've been very careful not to say anything incriminating......that doesn't make it any less suspicious.

No, I'm not planning to hit 6 this year, but if I changed my priorities, and finished a couple projects early, I really could. I typically sell 2-3 cars a year, and scrap 1-2. So I am close. I'm planning to buy a house this spring, and building a shop/garage. This will increase my productivity considerably, and hitting 6 a year would be a breeze, even if I titled some in my wife's name, I could probably still do 11 in a year. I don't give a flying rat's ass if you get a misdemeanor for not having a dealer's license, I don't want one. And you made yourself sound like some pseudo expert on a subject that is VERY relevant to my current situation, and it turns out your just clickbait.

I don't know why you're so obsessed with selling to Obama...the buyer wouldn't be prosecuted.

OP's argument is "I haven't gotten trouble yet so I am not a criminal"
I have a feeling he looks like this:

An actual quote from the guy: “Every transaction I’ve ever made at Retrophin was done with outside counsel’s blessing”
Right before he was arrested alongside his lawyer. These guys told everyone what they were doing was 100% legal.

Yawn, you all keep repeating the same things, like that's going to change anything. I approve of this thread. Its got great information. As a person who sells used cars I think this covers the topic better than any other resource in Minnesota. If you get around the clown car that generally is the internet forum, its a great resource.

This thread has no information, that's what the fuss is about. It appears to be secrets and wizardry that helps sell more cars than legally allowed in MN. I'm all for making money quick and even with little work, just don't come out swinging your pecker about how everyone can make money doing it and it's totally legit but keep the details secret and justify how slightly less illegal it is than a lemonade stand. People drink lemonade for .25 to help a kid out. You sell people transportation to get them to and from their families and jobs for thousands of dollars. Big ****ing difference...

I'm all for giving back and helping someone out. But if you aren't potentially benefiting anything from this and sharing your info could actually hurt your "business" (see what I did there). Then why take the time to sit down and write a detailed how-to, that no one really asked for, that is coincidentally missing a few details? I'm not trying to be a pessimist, just curious.

Also just ftr, when 10+ people are telling you what you're doing is wrong and not one is backing you. You just might be in the wrong.

At this point, who cares. We have enough government officials joining MNSubaru every day it will just be a matter of time. Some of the chatbox people seen who joined the other day. I just laugh that you publicaly claim a 16K income. I am sure that people will be looking for their fair share of those taxes. I am also very sure that those people are on this site.

Next you are going to try and tell me that pubicaly telling everyone where you are going to go out and whip ****ties in parking lots is totally legal because you have permission to be there.
