Yeah, this will be my last Impreza. I hated the pig nose. But I absolutely despise the cheap chrome grille, and those tail lights desparately need some red film over them. Plastichrome grilles and such are for Grand Prixs and Kias. Seriously, it looks like they had a good idea how to do this, the lines on the car look great, but then you get to the front and it looks like they fired the people that were doing such a good job and instead let a bunch of mongoloids finish it up.

RIP WRX wagon 2002-2007. There will only now be the hatchback and the US only sedan. Also I hate to say it but it would have probably looked better with the alfa designer still doing it. The pig nose wasn't nearly as bad, at least it didn't look like a chrysler. looks like engine wise its an LGT pretty much exactly.
they cant do this. if anything maybe there will just be a hatch option. they better not make it the main platform
Um, no. 06-07 is not the hottest one yet. I hate the way the face looks on it, it grew on me a bit due to some of the things people have done to make it hot, but it still looks hideous to me. This face is even worse, but it looks like it'll be easier to fix due to the lack of the pig nose. I can see aftermarket grilles being made that don't look so damn ugly.
i dunno, i legitimately came around to thinking the 06 was hot, but I dont like all the same old same looking cars. I always hated the peanut eye and was crushed when I first saw it. I think the bug eyes are nice looking too though. I'd rather drive a car that's derivative of this Than this: seems like the new WRX grille came from this: sedan is only for the usa now, STi will most likely be a hatch. Hatch makes more sense, the reasons why are listed in the nasioc article i linked to above.
Little flat back spraypaint and the grill will look fine. Proportions are still Subaru-ish, but the finishing details do look more like Mazda. I like the Mazda3 and the preceding Protege5, so I think it's OK, but I would rather have something little more distinctive than a Mazda clone. We'll have to see how things are going business wise in a year.
if I could have one like the one Speedemon posted I would take 2... but like anything if it has a gob load of money thrown at it it would look hot...
side profile looks decent. front and back... not so much. I guess I'll have to see it in person. Until then, they better release some incredible technical specs

Because of this there will be a huge resurgence of interest in the simplistic beauty of the bugeye. Long live the bugeye!
umm... thats certainly jumping to conclusions. What generates interest in teh bugeye is prices falling to around $10k
Bugeyes are amazing, but I really think the 06/07 is the best, once the chrome is blacked/color matched. They better do some more tweaking before final production.
Agreed. I hated the '06 design.....until I brought one home and parked it next to the '04 I was trading in. The more modded Subies I see, the more I think that the '04-05 style looks like ass. lol.
i think it's ok, have to see it in person as of right now, the damn grill looks like a chrylser, which i dislike but i want to know more about the performance than looks
