Haha. Yeah, the front end is growing on me. I still love the fender flares and sedan look, and am going to miss both..

 

I don't think its gonna be as bad as everyone thinks. If its lighter, and still has the 257, I'll be a bit jealous. Just not in the looks department. But they lose the city-lights in exchange for 21/8 watt turn signals/side markers! That's a bit disappointing! Its all in the details for me. And I thought they learned that the square intercooler wasn't as efficient as the wider one like the 06/07? It really is a quite massive hood scoop tho, damn. Either that or the car is absolutely tiny. :naughty:

 

And I just now saw the hood STRUT! hahaha, no more prop rod!!

 

interior is MINT. and the darker grill makes the front end more tolerable.

 

subiesport unleashed the details on the new wrx.

everytime i read this frickin crap it gets me more pissed off at subaru

Whats that grill off a pt cruiser? Ugly! Ill stick with my bugeye. IMHO the 04 -05 was the best looking design so far!

this is complete bs. the body change from 05-06 was NO WHERE near the body change of this.

yup, I won't make my final decision until I've seen it in person several times

 

I will base my decision on the new rally car. if they can make that look good it may sway me

yeah but the rally car always looks good. Every new WRX car I think looks better than the last one. I think the 07 one is the best one yet.

 

I read the Motor Trend article at Barnes and Nobel. The whole thing was about how it was good that Subaru was "mainstreaming" the car. I thought the car was mainstream.

I would like to take a look at one of these when they come in for possible upgrading of the 04 wagon. Specifically for when the Sti comes out, but I'd like to see one these guys up close and personal so that I could have an idea in my mind for what I want.

I just got the email from Subaru announcing the 08' WRX. When I saw the picture in the email, I thought it was a joke. FUGLY ! I am so dissappointed.

enough with the wagon and the sedan, bring back the coupe.

 

I think the coupe looks unproportioned and oblong (or something). Especially without the fender flares.

I don't know why everyone sweats it so much.

ugh, the base impreza hatch has the horrid rear lights.

Looks like from the pics there are going back to the standard 2pot brake. On the side note they are now equipped with the VDC & optional Navi...give and take I guess...

 

Holy Buckets, Nice job Editing this 08'. Its almost like I want to see one of these things on the road !!!
I liked the bug eyed cars and the peanut ones. they were kinda sexy! I like the old flat headlight models from the 90's they were pretty sweet lookin too.
Thats just my opinion.

I think if the tail lights had the smoked look to it, it wouldn't be too bad. I actually am starting to grow on it after seeing those pictures.

still think the 08s look ugly. seems like all the cars are starting to look more and more alike.... even the ones that were really unique, like celicas, wrx, evos.... even though the EVO X does look pretty nice.
