I Internet diagnose a bad throwout bearing,

Seriously shouldn't you know if the tranny is bad before you buy a new one. More details mint help others help you here.

the mechanic that it is at just put in a new clutch then less than 150 miles later this started. he took it out again bearing was good adn the springs looked really loose so he thought that was it. bought a new factory clutch. still making the rattling. he checked the fluid said it was clean no metal in it.

Wait? the mechanic put a new clutch in and then the noise started? and after the mechanic took apart his fresh clutch job that clutch was bad? Was there anything that happened to the car after the first new clutch? Does the car rattle when you are sitting at a stoplight? Is there any change in noise from drive to coast, meaning if you are in gear and step on the gas, or let off the gas and coast while in gear? I wouldn't be looking for a new trans from the sound of it you need someone to look at the car other than the original mechanic

car was fine for about 150 miles then it started. pulled the clutch the springs were loose but i guess thats normal. but we didnt know so i bought a new clutch and it still has a rattle.
i havent driven the car it started i pulled off and had it towed to him. it was very reluctant to go into a gear though.
for anyone else to look id have to pay a nice tow charge from delano. he is a friend of mine and have trusted him. been doing this for many years and is in the process of on opening his own shop.

Flywheel bolts backing out/improperly torqued causing the flywheel to rattle. Did the mechanic bother to check the flywheel bolts? Did he put loctite on the bolts? Does this mechanic specialize in Subaru/imports? I'd go to another mechanic that's more knowledgable in the Subaru area.
