so i have a 05 wrx and the clutch is going out and im debating weather to go with an exedy oem clutch replacement kit or something more aftermarket. its a daily driven car and i really dont drive it that hard. the mods it has are a vf39, tbe, FMIC, 565 injectors, intake and a bigger fuel pump. so would it be worth it to go with a more performance clutch (but not to performance because i dont want to hurt my transmission) or would the exedy oem replacement get the job done...?

I was just in the same predicament as you and went with OEM. You have slightly more power than I do tho (you have turbo upgrade), so if I were in your shoes I would definetly consider the exedy stage1. Do you know what kind of power you're putting down?

yeah it was at 260 whp and it was slipping so then it was tunned down to just a more driveable tune until i fixed the clutch. (im not sure about how much torque i have) and like you said im debating between exedy oem and the exedy stage one organic clutch.

IIRC...the exedy stage one and the oem are the same disc... the stage one just has a stiffer preasure plate.....

I wouldnt worry about your power levels on either kit... i am running a stage 1 kit.... was on 330 whp for 17k miles and it held great
