Ok how do I explain this lol. I just got my new AVO intercooler today for my 2010 wrx man is it sexxxy. So anyways natrally I wanna put in, after talking to Cobb and MAP they said it wouldnt throw any codes after install. I also looked at several Forums regaurding this install, Everyone said it would be easy, anyways after long 2 hour battle with my factory intercooler and trying to putt the new one in i gave up and put the factory one back in. The HOSE that connects the intercooler to the motor seems like its short and i cant seem to get it to fit right. After a good 30 min oof wrenching on it tryin to get it to fit i thought i had it but apprently did not because i drove the car around the block and almost every time i let off the throttle the car dies. Pretty sure the hose isnt connected properly and has gap in it. Anyone that can fix it and or bring replacement part and fix it tonight i will pay them 250 cash just for the labor. I dont know if im allowed to post this or not but, its either i post this and help someone out who needs some cash for something simple or pay a tow truck driver and the dealership for it. You can PM me directly I will have my computer on. rate is negotiable if you can do it tonight, i need this fixed,,,,,,,, Im located in Sauk centre. Thanks Tony
Well the stock ic should go on as it came off so one of two things are prob the issue. 1. You dont have the silicone connector on the ic slide to far back so that it is connecting the two. Or 2. you dont have the y-pipe on the bottom correct and its causing the ic to sit farther back and pull the ic away from the throttle body.
ok i kinda get your logic here but if i have the silicone pipe to far back i it slides off. I feel like its to short. The first time i took stock IC off the silicone hose just slide off the motor. Also something that has me a little concerened is that there is oil residue in the hose is that normall?
yes the oil residue is blow by. the higher the miles get on the turbo and the higher the boost you run the more blow by you will start to see. As for the silicone connector does it look like it has been cut at all or does it look like factory edges
It looks factory but the inner linner of the hose is wraped and mis shapen the inside looks like its coming out i had to tuck it back in
Ive honestly had lol i just called the dealership and told them what i did they said call raodside and have it towed in and they will fix it for me lol
other then the connector from the ic to the tb does it fit on the turbo and bolt on the mounts correctly?
