Ok. I have a set of jdm bugeye sti head lights. I'm was planning on putting them on my car this coming weekend so I was going to give them some tlc. I have clear rock block I was going to put on them but I wanted to clean them up and get the small scratches out. So I waxed and buffed them with 18volt hand buffer. They looked beautiful! Then I started putting the rock block on one of them and I was having some problems with it/getting the air bubbles out from under it. So I started pealing it back slow and now it's all foggie. So I just pulled it off and used some super green cleaner on them to get the wax of because I was thinking that was the problem. But it didn't work. Now they both are foggie and I'm just pissed off! I wanted to know how to get the fog off of them and make them look nice before I go wasting more money on rock block film. Thanks guys!

For applying the rock blocker, spray both the headlight and the film down with distilled water with a little bit of dish soap (just enough to get it foamy when you shake it)

That will squeegee out when its on where you want it.

3M FineCut and then Mothers Plastic Polish. And keep the surface wet while you do it. You definately don't want to over heat the plastic. Don't wax them before applying rockblocker. Wax eventually breaks down, you want to apply the rockblocker directly to the polished plastic surface.

Whe applying the rockblocker, use a heat gun and a vinyl application squeegie. Heat the surface of the lens slightly, then using the squeegie, apply the film. DO NOT PLACE THE ENTIRE FILM ON THE LAMP AND PRESS IT DOWN WITH YOUR PALM. THIS WILL NOT WORK. Stick hte corner of the film to one edge of the lamp, then use the squeegie to push it down in a sweeping motion. Once applied, pin-prick the bubbles using an Xacto #11 blade knife, and use your squeegie and heat gun to push the air bubbles out of the pin hole you made.

I had used just distilled water. I had no problems with my fogs and I did them the same way. I need to know how to get the foggyness off of the headlights now. And if any one has a spare peace of clear rock block for me to buy off them.
