I stripped the nut on the passenger front hard brakeline and was wondering if there was someone on the east side of the metro who had the tools and knowledge to cut the nut off and reflare the brakeline with a new nut.

    Probably west of you.
You might be able to borrow the flare tool from an auto parts store. I would strongly recomend the double flare tool, though. McMaster Carr sells them as well, but I can't remember the cost. I have the kit but I'm about as far away from you as you can get. Bummer.

I hate those hard lines, I stripped one too when I was putting in stainless lines. They're so easy to strip if they're kinda rusty.

I really needed to get it done and didn't have the time to get a flare tool, so I just vise-gripped the bastard and that's holding fine. Next time taking it off is gonna be a PITA though, I'm sure.
