    Hey folks,
I'm going to be ordering some new tires in a couple days and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to get them mounted in St. Paul. It won't be anything complicated, just replacing some stock rubber on my forester. Any input appreciated.

Any special wheels or just a basic tire swap.

For just a basic tire install I just go to a local tires plus or firestone. Never had an issue, at least at the ones in apple valley.

$15-17/tire should be where most people are for swapping tires. Many places also charge a recycling fee for old tires so keep that in mind. Also consider experience and equipment. Better shops have mounters that only touch the hub of the wheel and the tire. These mounting tools inherently have less opportunity to scuffing/scratching rims. Installers with more experience or shops who will pay out if they ruin a rim are a safer bet. Like @kongzilla, I have had good experiences with Discount Tires but I have heard horror stories of shops ruining rims.

I've had them mount my Works, Volk, lowenharts, and BBS. Never had a problem as to scratching or damaging my wheels.

Although there are only two guys at the Maplewood Discount tire that does them for me. I trust no one else.

Discount Tire dinged one of my rims and manned up and replaced it. I didn't even have to argue, raise my voice or threaten.
