I just had to beat Carl to his usual post....... We're up to 9 payments received!!! I can't wait....this is supposed to be fun, right?
i was just saying that so we didn't get the event canceled another topic- is there anyway to change the password on the rally america website? I lost the original, requested a new one...but the new one is hard to remember and I don't like writing them down or storing them anywhere.
that is cool. and if jim can get his trucks ready you guys could have 14 entrants. that is a pretty good number.
With the official word that the event will be moving forward, this is a call for bannering crews. I need about 4 teams total. I already have 2 (thanks Erik and Alexis). Bannering works out best with 2-4 people per car. If you won't have a car at the event or someone to rid with you in your car, that's ok. We can pair some people up. We will meet at HQ at around 10am for a brief meeting. Then we'll hit the stages. I'll take first folks to reply here or to me directly in email. Any surplus of people will be used as backups. Please reply with: Name Will you have a car? List any passengers Also, we will have banner tape. But if you happen to have any partial or full rolls, that you've borrowed from events past, can you please bring it with you. Thanks breon banner chief extraordinaire p.s. I haven't made a decision on a navigator for 000 yet. If you haven't emailed me and would like to be considered, let me know. I'd like like to have someone that want to be on the organizing committee for one or both of the next two events.
No sir. Please contact Carrie Carlson @ [email protected] Just to let you know, you can banner AND marshal!
Less than a week to go! Carl, you ready? Dave? I am SO excited! Current forcast for Saturday shows a high of 60 with mostly cloudy skies...I know it is a ways out, but looking good
yeah, we're ready. Provided our towing vehicle doesn't breakdown again like it did yesterday:eek4:. Andrew and his ninja skills got the truck back on the road within minutes. (Wiring gremlins) other then that, we have a few details to wrap up then we're ready to go. anyone know of a good place in town to mount/dismount rally tires? Other than Pomps in Buffalo?
I've had Jeff (The Alignment Guy) mount rally tires, but he may or may not have great luck with the really serious Pirelli/Michelin rally tires. Kumho, Hankook, Silverstone, no prob.
i think this style would be ok but this one is much more "pointy" and I wouldn't really want it flying around the cabin
I think u can, but like carl said you need to be careful about pointy objects. Brent used binder clips on his routebook. you could call him and talk to him. I am not planning on having one. also Rob Bohn has good co driver info on his website. I think u can getto t from Mayhem's website.
here is bob's co driver slideshow. this is some of the best co driver info out there: http://www.fyrhstrm.com/codrivers/
Hey Carl, are you going to get any sleep tonight? Don't forget to RainX the windshield, they're calling for rain..... Amy
NO!!!!!! i swear if it's raining... watch me call enterprise and tell them to pick me up so i can get THEIR car all muddy. :hsugh:
Excellent! I am so jacked up! I slept good til about 4:30 this morning. Now I am so excited, there is no sleepin!
I got zero sleep last night. Wailin g baby and then took the family off to the airport. Not really looking forward to the drive to Duquette at this point.
seconded, thirded, and fourthed. i just yawned so wide i almost dislocated my jaw. my bed looks *so* tempting right now. i need some jetsons-style navigation, so i can sleep in the back while the car drives itself.
WOW I'VE COUNTED 11 WOODTICKS & 1 DEERTICK SO FAR! Carol pulled through a nice sweeping corner pretty fast close to the end of stage 3 near marshal point 525, Awesome Job Carl & Dave + crew!
