Sharp Sti. I'm starting to like the sport grille a little. I've heard that the AP is a nice tool to have, but you won't get near the performance of a true tune. Member here Nuke is also a good option i've been told.

Welcome to MNSubaru! Lots of good info and events to take in. We are pretty lucky here to have some great tuners in our community. I can vouch for Nuke and the NF Performance team, they did all of the work and the tune on my 05 STI. If you are looking for a cheap bang for your buck, I'd start out with a stage 1 ECU flash, this will wake up the car.

I had Nuke tune my car (St 2) and I'd have him do it again if I needed to..

You can get a true tune with the AP. Nuke and RS motors among others can work with them and should be at the top of your list Do you plan on having different tunes for different fuels and are computer illiterate? AP is for you. Otherwise I'd just get a open source tune and be done. What are your light mods plans? Any quick engine/exhaust stuff? I'd wait on the tune.

Just get a down pipe installed then go have nuke tune it for you if you want a light mod.. I bet you'll be satisfied with that.

It's not a bad idea to get a tune done on a stock car. Stage 1.
If you don't want an Accessport, Opensource is another option.
RS motors can get you going

Nice STi and welcome! You don't need any modifications. Just a Stage 1 ECU flash will get you where you want to be for now. Everything else can be added in the future if the car loses it's fun factor for you.

To LaCrosse? It's an awesome drive with views of Subarus and the Mississippi river valley and usually takes about 2 hours. Food will be hot and ready for us when we arrive! It's a "cruise" tho, not a race. For safety, we usually drive 5mph under the speed limit to allow the other traffic to pass us as we will take up about 2-3 miles of the right lane.:D
