New Mnsubaru Stickers

I think we need to comission a new mnsubaru club stocker design, with the new mods and new members and everything we need a freshen up, so if yuo have any ideas post em up, even rough sketches

 

how about we actually get a club logo first. then do stickers.

I dont either but sometimes changes if done well are always good.... lets see what comes of this and then decide when people submit ideas.. think about the sweaters and shirts... the logo came from being open to change.... and when it changed or when the design was decided on then whammo people swooped up the shirts and sweaters...

 

change is always good as long as it is leading the subject matter in the correct direction.

I am with nathan, lets see what people say/ give for ideas and go from there. I am also with Russ, the ones we have are kind of a staple in the community, we don't want to change the club but a face lift never hurts!!

 

I just bought stickers. the new ones would have to be the most bomb ass tightest shizz i have ever seen for me to buy them lol

 

the old ones are collectors items, if new ones come out.

 

Maybe just an updated version of the original design. Not completely different but definately noticable.

 

If there are new ones I am buying a bunch of the old ones. It would be neet a few years down the road to have. I really like the old design. Not to say i wouldnotget some new ones too.

 

I would buy another set as well, to keep an not use but for memories of when I joined the club

 

I think one with the website address would be nice for advertisement.

 

I was just gonna put www.mnsubaru.com in giant white reflective letters on my car, along the side, bumper to bumper.



Seriously something with the web address large enough to read as I pass people would be good. I like the current but it doesn't really say "hey, check this place out!"

 

I could probably make one ... if only my scanner worked ..
I can draw anything but it's getting it onto this site that is the problem ... but I'll see what I come up with and maybe I'll just buy a new scanner (it's been a big problem for a while - thank god graphic design is not my job!!)

I like the snowflakes for subaru stars but ... we just haven't gotten enough snow .. now I could make something amusing like a blue subaru with a sad face 'cause he's so cold .. and the site name, but we're hardened to it here ..

oh I have an idea .. how about combining something having to do with subies and the "10000" lakes thing ... hmm

yeah the snow thing is dying. we just dont get snow like we used to. i bet in ten years i could replace those snow flakes with mini Suns and it would be spot on. or could switch em out for mosquitos!

As far as putting the URL on the stickers, remember that will attract both good and bad attention to the site. I know I've unintentionally pissed off other drivers on the road sometimes. And we've had at least one person in the past come to the site just to yell at "some wreckless subaru driver...", I think for someone accellerating and passing someone agressively. Just something to consider...

matches my San Remo red. Actually I don't have stickers for that one, need to get them.

The blakc stickers have a gold metallic effect that was pretty cool. Here's what it looked like with a flash on my yellow car:

 

here's black on a black car with tinted windows, no flash... very subtle.

 

since some of the old timers dont like change...how about we use the same sticker layout as we are right now, but put martin's snowflakes in there instead of stars.

 

the original design is classic IMO, it was very well done. it is also very similar to MNAudis logo. having the URL will attract both wanted and unwanted attention. imo it is best left off, and if you really want the logo we could always whip up a batch of just the URL.

switching the stars for flakes is a good idea. i kinda like the idea that we are having different generations of logo. it means i have memorabilia. plus if we ever wanted to we could go back to the original being we have the design somewhere.

 

so i was thinkig this about something like this, i cant rotate letters so if someone can take that writing and flip it 45degrees soo that it would sit across the sticker under the snowflakes falling from the top left corner down to the right, then you would put it on your rear window in the bottom left corner, or on the rear drivers window in the same place

I really like the rally roots of the current club sticker with the swoosh, but then again I'm a rally nut. I also agree with prezawagon that having the url could be good and bad. I will admit that I've not always passed with care, as they say (ask LegacyPGT) and don't know if I would want people to know where to find me. I do my best not to drivie like that anymore, though.

 

dispalying the rally heritage was a key point in the first logo. it is a very very important part of subaru motorsports. what about the new rally symbol with the large curvey S things. could that be used? the swoosh works really nice becuase it fits well in a window.

i am personally leaning towards leaving the url off. since i bet officers look for labels on cars that could be leads into the [sarcasm] super secretive deviant society of ricers [/sarcasm] anyway a url just gives them a place to harass us online or use what we say on here as evidence ect.... (or maybe not i have no clue, imo better safe then sorry)

 

Having "undesirables" follow the url to cause trouble is definitely not what I want but on the other hand isn't that part of the reason for the stickers? Not just to show support but to advertise the existence of the club and attract new people?
Otherwise it's just word of mouth which is kind of hard to use when your doing 55+ on the highway.

 

^ Very true. right now it seems more like the stickers are a way to identify current members. instead of attracting new ones. unless you are at a stop light next to them. but if you have a line of text under the current logo, they are going to have to be RIGHT next to to see it at 55MPH. or if you are stopped they will have plenty of time to examine it. to be effective you would need a big whole window banner, like justin has.

my .02 I like the current sticker and would like another set or two. I'm not a big fan of stickers on cars anyway and the current one at least looks like a "subaru" sticker.

trying to keep Minnesota and Subaru in the logo, was what I was going for.

I do like the enthusiasm from the members wanting to design a new sticker. Even if it doesn't get made into a sticker right away, coming up with new logo/design ideas is great. Maybe we can come up with something new for the website logo/design...

 

i like the current design and as stated, it has been with the group since the beginning.
