Okay here is the scoop, I just bought a new keyless remote transmitter to replace the one that I have lost. I can't seem to get the car into programming mode; I've read up on a lot of different subaru forums and it's all the same thing. 1. Open driver door get in and close the door (making sure all doors are unlocked) 2. Insert key into ignition 3. Turn the key from off to on position x10 within 15 seconds without turning the engine on, leaving the key in off position. This is when you're suppose to hear the car horn go off once, letting you know you're in programming mode, which in my case car horn did not go off. 4. Open and close the drivers door leaving the key in off position in the ignition and press any button on the transmitter, and this is when the locks will respond to the transmitter and programed successfully. I have checked my keyless control module its in and hooked up. Could it be that the control module already have 4 different code from 4 different transmitter saved in to it's memory thus not letting me programed a new one in? The module can only store 4 different codes in it's memory. Oh and my old one did not work as well, because I had not programmed it in either. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
