New shoes- I am dying that I have to wait to try them out. Mmmm... gears... Instaboost courtesy of Grimmspeed- The car still needs a little work before it's ready to run though- First autoX of the season is May 2nd.
I can't believe you bought those junk gears. I be over later to dispose of them.......Into the trunk of my car.
Nice man, nice. That thing looks to be a monster (or most certainly will be when everything's actually in the car)
No, that's a Trailer only race car now... no driving to events with that thing What wheels did you wind up with anyway? Diamond racing? or did you get some hot aluminum ones? i'm just all full of questions
Definitely a trailer only car these days. No door beams, no airbags, no bumper beams, stiff springs, no lights, no wipers, lexan windows, fixed bucket seat, 5 point harness- not only is it unsafe on the road, it's uncomfortable and not fun to drive around town. Oh yeah- no license plates either. I went with Diamond racing wheels. The car dollies are awesome. I can work in the car, under the car, roll the car around the garage, just about perfect.
That garage door looks earily familiar. Definitely an interesting tire size. I'd like to see them on the car.
June 28th I should be making it to Eau Claire. As I found out last year, this car handles great up to about 105. Certain autoX's are faster than others. This year it will be even faster, should still handle very well at 100+.
With your custom air dam/bumper are you doing any other aero? splitter? wing? flares or cut fenders? Passenger seat? If so I def want a ride.
Splitter yes, wing if necessary. The splitter probably will not be ready for VF, but will show up for later events. I will cut the fenders if I need to, flares look nice, but really only add weight. I will have a passenger seat along at events I expect to be able to take fun runs with passengers. VF day 1, most midway events, maybe an event at DCTC or two if I think they will have fun runs. Otherwise the passenger seat weighs too much.
Run at the dyno day in 2007- Tuned on corn juice at RS last week- Thanks Ron! I picked up a little HP across the range, and a load of torque. Pulls on the first sheet were in 4th, pulls on the 2nd sheet were in 3rd. Does anyone know what a stock STI makes on the dyno at RS?
Boy thats a lot of nice power for a light little scooby! Congrat's! I'll have to stopby sometime at the events to see it in action.
