Hi all, been a while since I have done much on here but the new car I picked this up late December and the sad regurg of what happened to readymix's car has re-peaked my interests. Anyways here are the pics of my new car.

It drives really nice. Better then the 2005 legacy with 240k miles I sold to get this. It is not fast though, but it does accelerate nicely.

If I were you, I would skip the remote starter. Mine turns over so SLOW when it gets real cold out the remote starter doesn't work right. Then you have to crank on it forever to get it to fire again. If I could get my money back on mine I would in a heartbeat. Or I need to find a new high torque starter or something.

    other than that, nice color.:p

Well, I know this for sure. It is not my battery. So maybe it is some super over the top resistance in the cables, or just the starter won't crank it over when it gets cold (and I am talking 20 and below). I know of some other subies that do the same thing. They just cranks so slow that the remote starter using the tach signal doesn't work. So my plan of attack once I get mine back is possibably run some new power cables from the battery to the starter (to eliminate a resistance problem), then look into a custom high torque starter. A 700cca battery spinning over a 2.5l low compression motor should have no problems at all.

    thanks all

I had some starting issues on our very subzero days, but other wise mine has worked great. Not as good as my legacy but pretty flawless. Isn't there a way to hook it up other then the tach to sense if it started?

Also Russ, where is your car at?

In the shop getting this fixed. Project FXT

Hopefully I will pick it up next week and I will get a chance to start digging into the issue. Hopefully I can just throw some big ass cables in from the battery to the starter and that will help.
