New To MNSubaru-Having Some Mechanical Problems! Please Help out!

Perrin Top Mounts aren't too bad from what I have seen. Some are dented on the end tanks and I don't know if that was done on purpose to make them match the stock mounts. I have seen some stuff on Nasioc that sounded like people have seen the tanks leak, but you can't believe everything that is said on the internet...

 

I've seen TMICs that have had to be touch-up welded because of air leaks. Happens much more on the cheaper ones.

 

Hey guys I have all my parts in other than my spearco tmic that should be here sometime this mid week.

 

Spent $4000 already and the car can't even run and drive yet. This is so discouraging.

 

It should be an enjoyable 4g spent. What all did you end up getting to finish/ fix the car.

No, I'm trying to get RS to take the car in so they can check it all out. Money isn't a issue anymore. I just want to drop off the car and have them fix it no matter how much it costs. I will scrap for money any way I can just so I can drive the damn car.

 

Have you thought about taking them to court? I mean, they messed your car up badly, this type of job isnt anywhere near as complicated as they made it.

 

I know it shouldn't be this difficult, and I have thought about taking them to court. I took pictures of the wiring that was all burnt up (my mechanic had to repair 4 wires and the harness which could has started my ass on fire) and my fender that has all hell scratched the F*** up. So if it does go to court I have my mechanic and my parents that have seen the damage done and that have talked to Andrew and listen to the dumb things he had to say. He talked me and my dad into not buying injectors after we asked him time and time again and misled us in other ways too. His cronies at his lot dented his POS Honda Accord up that he let me drive after I didn't have a car for weeks and then asked me if I damaged the junker. Just a big head ache.

 

Our enclosed trailer is back so if you want it transported let me know.

 

wow thats such a terrible story. similar thing happened to me. i blew up my motor in my 02 shortly after getting it. i think it had some issues that the ford dealer was less then truthful about but to make a long story short at 1st thought it was just the turbo that went out so i went out and bought a cheap 16g eBay turbo(this was before i became hands on with my Subaru and learned that eBay is not the place to buy motor parts lol). The turbo comes and i have a shop put it on. well i come it to see how progress is going and they are like well its going ok got the turbo and down pipe on but we cant get the waist gate to fit right. when i looked at it was all bolted on by one bolt cocked to the side no way it was ever going to work. well i looked at it and was like well the reason it dose not fit is because you have the coolant banjo's on backwards so they fixed it and got it all setup. Just to find out that the waist gate flap on this cheap turbo didn't align properly and would not seal so no boost was able to build. took it off sent it back finally after a fight with the ebay seller because the shop i had put it on was not ASE cert.(how stupid i mean really its not that hard to put a damn turbo on) after it was all said in done the turbo was refunded but still had to pay 800 to the shop for absolute nothing.

 

I have a friend with a trailor so I guess it is all up to when you guys are able to recieve the car at the shop.

Yeah so we both learned BRING YOUR CAR TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING the first time around instead of getting bent over and screwed. Your car all done now?

This is extremely sad, actually. Have you looked into bringing charges against MTKA Imports? I am not sure of what you can do, but definitely report it to the BBB. Or something. I can't accept that these people can just **** up anyone's car that they want to and get away with it.

 

Maybe if I knew a couple of the guys thats cars have been messed up I could have some backup in court. I will be contacting the BBB for sure.

Yeah that would be nice. I see Racewind or Minnetonka Imports has been removed from the Shops section of the site. Thats how I found those jokers.

The car is finally going to RS motors on Friday

 

Hey guys sorry for the triple post but RS just called me today and everything is installed and is being flashed and will be ready for a tune tomorrow or Saturday! I have Monday off so I will be driving all day!

Very nice - good thinking leaving headroom with the injectors. Planning for bigger turboz down the road. Wise.

 

Literocola lol. Yeah I figure mine as well go big so I Don't have to buy more if I did decide to do another turbo.

 

So when do you get to drive it finally? Fill us in on what it puts down on RS's dyno too.

 

Should be complete either today or tomorrow depending on Ron's schedule. Should be driving it by Monday.

 

Yeah I called back right when you guys closed I think. I will just have to wait till spring and maybe then we can do a couple things to get it to the 300whp. I'm very happy with 275 for now and I can't wait to drive it!
