    Hey All!

I just relocated to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for work and am from Indianapolis, IN. The car scene there during the warm(er) months is insane! So, I was hoping to see that here. I have not had much luck yet, but I've only been here for about 2 months or so. Used to be more in the SVT Mustang and muscle car side of the crowd, but with my relocation to MN, it was time to get something that performs a little better in the snow, and I have ALWAYS loved the WRX/STI since I started realizing I enjoyed cars.

Car is a 2011 WRX. I've owned it since December and love it so far! They really are great cars all around. Went to Google and searched "Subaru car club" and this is what I found! I'm looking forward to hearing more about the car scene and hopefully getting involved. Car has about 36k miles, and its completely stock, but my buddies aren't here to talk me into mods like my previous ride! I need someone to kick me in the pants! LOL

    Welcome to MNsubaru.

I'll provide the swift kick, and the boot! :coffee:

Enjoy your stay here! MN winters are generally pretty fun to drive in. Just a matter of the temp somedays that will make you want to stay inside.

Thanks for the links and warm welcome!

I'll have to scope out a few of these spots discussed in the next few weeks. Sounds like things have really died up here, which is unfortunate. In Indy, all the big boys go to a local Oreilly auto parts store and just hangout. Was hoping that would be the case here. Maybe Firestone used to be that place from what I'm reading?

Yes, I'm not TOO concerned about the winter. They get nasty in Indiana too, but I know this is a new level. I'm still rolling on the stock tires, so that will most likely need to change. Tires are expensive and that sucks. But MUCH cheaper than the 305/45/18s I had on the back of my stang lol. I'm only about a mile and a half from work which is nice. Weather is wonderful around here for now though!

Good! I need someone to motivate me, these cars are beautiful stock, but would like to make her a little different. All I have now is some good window tint haha.

Tuesday night meets at Boom Island are pretty consistent, and we do have a handful of regulars (including myself) that do make the meets often. Will probably run into you if you do make it out on one of those nights. Friday nights are usually booked for me anyway.

Boom island park? I looked it up on maps. Isn't too far from me, I'd be interested in that for sure!

My apartment is brand new, so they are working out some drainage kinks...obviously...NOT happy about it. It only gets this bad after a heavy heavy rain and recedes somewhat quickly. My cars are ALWAYS clean and detailed...but since I moved here, I've been forced to slack unfortunately until all work is done at my place.

This was the aftermath of any Car Freaks worst nightmare....Trying to be the nice guy ... and some dude I'd known for less than a week pukes in my car ... :banghead::censored::finger::depressed::facepalm:. That resulted in a 5 hour FULL car interior detail on the 3rd of July (A day my company takes off). I learned my lesson, BUT he paid up big time...I still have to catch myself from going like :)censored:) when I see him...we work for the same company but he works in a different office in Fridley. I'm in Shoreview

Overall - I'd like to see MAYBE, a few performance mods. Coming from my previous car, which was HEAVILY modified, to this...I like being mostly stock engine wise as a daily driver. I would, however, like to get into the exterior mods. I see some of these wrx/sti's on the road and I am just amazed. I want mine to look mean like that!

It was a 2002 Mustang Gt, full bolt ons and a lot of engine work. Full exhaust (arguably the best sounding 4.6 GT I've ever heard, many people would mistaken it for a Cobra)
-- D1 Procharger ... I certainly do miss this car, but there is always time for more cars in the future! Mine made right around 480, which was plenty for me in THAT car. I'd like to see more out of my next one. I enjoy driving the Terminators and Coyote Stangs. WE shall see!

Like I said, Indy is crawling with cars...every night that there isn't a work day following. Not sure if anyone has seen the BlackBird R35 Boost Logic GTR in any videos online (1320 videos possibly?, TX2k, ect), but that 14xx whp car is from Indy, or the 700+ hp black civic that they have featured before. Just a ridiculous scene there.

I like your choices for car colors!
