N00b here, but not n00b to scoobs. Hello guys/gals. I've lurked around here for a long time now (since 2003), but haven't really posted anything yet. Figured now would be good a time as any. I'm usually on RS25.com with the same handle I use here. I drive a BRP 2.5 RS, recently swapped with a jdm v5 ej207. As I type this, it's still undergoing some little maintenance stuff like timing belt/waterpump that I should have finished today, but the parts department at the dealer was closed so I couldn't get the parts I needed. Other than that, the car runs beautifully and pretty quick for fully stock (besides LW flywheel). I'd post some pictures but the car is dirtier than hell right now, so I'll post a link to the second page of my swap thread on RS25. Theres a bunch of pics on there, some of the finished product as well. http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66523&page=2 Maybe I'll come around to firestone sometime and meet all of you. Haven't really had the nerve to go before, since I didn't really have a whole lot to show off  I'll probably take her to the SC run on september 15 at the rock too, just to see what she can do.
Definately a newbie to Subie's Hello everybody! I have been looking for a WRX for a while and ended up picking up Adams 02 bugeye last week. I then promply had to go out of town for the rest of the week and weekend :mercy: so I haven't really been able to drive it much. When I have, I have liked it though! Looking forward to it! -Jay
hey guys, im Eric im new here and i obviously drive a nissan maxima, but i used to drive a 95 legacy lsi and i loved it, ive always been in love with subarus and im making sure my next car is going to be a wrx.
Hey all, I'm Andy. I've been reading the forums for quite a few months now and I finally took the plunge and bought an 06 STi. What a car =O While I really enjoy reading about the different mods one can do, I plan on running stock for a while (spt exhaust on at purchase). I did buy a Tactrix cable for logging/learning.
Welcome to the forum Andy! Sweet purchase no doubt! Bring the 06 down to Firestone some Friday/Saturday night if you get a chance. What color is it?
Nice! Hope to see it/you sometime. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7485&page=64. <<Look here.
The CGM(Crystal Grey Metallic) is pretty dark. That would be my guess, and it is a beautiful color btw.
Hey guys, i've been hanging around for a bit and figured i would introduce myself. I am from the northern burbs and drive a blue 06 WRX...enough chat i suppose, here are some pics.
Hiya everyone! I started a thread the other day and have gotten a lot of good input from many of you. Thanks! Then I found this thread and so here I post. I learned to drive in a '83 GL Wagon 4X4. Have owned 2 Justies. First one rocked: took it places I wouldn't have driven the army vehicles. It's replacement turned out to be a lemon but nursed it along for about 5 years anyway. Shoulda just fixed up the first one... Had a Sambar Dias II for a brief time in Japan until the ECVT went. That was a great van except for being an auto. Spent most of the time there on a mountain bike or the train until the "family way" gave impetus for another car. Ended up with a classic Mini that we am missing very, very much. "Brrruum, brrruum, brrruummm," says the boyo if he hears anything that sounds similar. We just got back to the States and have been driving a loaner Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. Every Subie we've owned AND the Mini would fit inside it. At the same time even, I should think! Hopefully we'll be in a new Subaru soon. I was on another forum thru a friend I met in Japan because of the Mini when I saw MNSubaru mentioned by Sidebrake. Thanks, yo! This really seems to be a great community; hopefully we'll be able to make some events in the future (when driving something that is both more FUN & economical.) And sorry for the REALLY long post. Christopher
Hello! I've been a member of the site for almost a year now (just about a week after I caught WRXEcho pearing into the window of my car the first day I moved to my current apt) and I just finally realized that I never actually introduced myself... =/ So yeah I've got an 06 WRX (black) that I bought last July and so far I've slapped an SPT intake and catback on it. I've been flirting with making the leap to stage2, just still shopping around a bit I guess. So far all the responses I've gotten here have all been extremely helpful so keep 'em coming! Like I said I'm looking to go stage2 asap, then somewhere down the road upgrade the turbo and all the goodies that go along with that. I don't have any pics of my car on this computer, but I'll post them when I get to work tomorrow. Thanks again everybody for all the responses to my previous posts so far! Jeff
OK here they are! These are from about a year ago when I bought the car - still looks as good new (aside from the 3 door dings...sigh...). And yeah, that '94 Dodge Spirit in front of the WRX in that picture was my previous car...upgrade!
Hello all. My name is Momin, I own/operate Elite Autosport in Minneapolis. My family and I have been long time Subaru fans. We bought our first new one in '87, it was a GL10 4WD Turbo w/electroneumatic suspension, it was a blast. Second was a new Legacy LS AWD in '90, and third was a new '98 Legacy Outback Limited. I just joined this forum and thought I'd say hello.
hi my name is the giraffe and i live in africa (in the middle part) and i ocasionally come to minnetonka subaru to spread my subaru love
Hi Subaru owners and non Subaru owners. I am new to this club, met a few members last month by 101 and Hwy7 in Minnetonka. I have been a member of MAC club for a couple of years now, but never had a Subaru before (Honda owner). I drive 03 black WRX. I got the car about 10 months ago just for everyday driving, but felt in love with it right away. I have usuall mods exhaust, intake, ecu, nothing major. I still have my Turbo Civic that i race, but it's not AWD. Subarus are just so much fun do drive to bad i could not afford STI I will post some pics of my car later, just wanted to introduce myself to the site. By the way my name is Max, maybe some of you know me from autocross or other clubs. Later guys.
Welcome Max. It's good to see more guys from the west side on here. I'd love to see that turbo Civic, too!!!
Finally got a car last week. Took some pics this weekend on a camping trip. It is pretty much an entirely stock 02 except for EBC rotors and Greenstuff pads. I had forgotten how much fun gravel can be. Now I need to start looking at the fun stuff - well, after snow tires and a timing belt. Thanks for all the help, ya'll! Okay, here's a pic... and I am off to the Technical Forum.
