Whats up guys. I just wanted to introduce myself to MNsubie. I sell cars down at Walser Nissan in Burnsville and we took a 2002 WRX in trade with 106k miles on it. I fell in love with it as soon as my customer said it was stock and untouched. I picked it up for a song, because as we all know cars don't get traded in for squat. Its got a few things I need to repair before turning it into a money-pit-daily-driver. I'd like to have somewhere in the high 200's at the wheels which I hope would make it a really fun car to realistically own. thanks guys, James
Welcome to the forum James! Take a ride in a stage2 wrx in the low 200's first.:yumyum: You'll be suprised with the difference from stock and the cost of going stage2 on your car is extremely cheap! I personally went to stage2 for under $500.
I just might, I remember always seeing the GC's and GD's at Firestone as I passed by on the way to Porky's. I used to have an 80 Malibu with a 355 and before that I had a CRX with a swapped B18 HCE'd. I've been out of the car forums for about 2 years. I used to hang out on MNSC and TCstangs, but both of those absolutely suck for our cars.
It's never a good idea to tell new aquantances that you used to hang out in gay bars, even if you're gay.
Also note: It's not a good idea to point out others who you have seen at gay bars. Even if they are openly gay.
Whats up everybody!? I am Zois, new to this forum and new to owning a Subaru. I just purchased a white 06' sti a few saturdays ago. I have only met a few people on here so far, and about to meet one more friday(meeting up to purchase a Cobb AP v2!!) Hello! This is my first post in the forums. I'm going to be doing some gradual upgrades to my car, and I thought this would be the best place to become more knowledgeable about my Subie. My name is Brandon, and I live in Eden Prairie. Hope to have a good time here and gain some knowledge, and lend a hand if needed. I recently bought some new tires, and I am looking to do some brake work soon, and then some basic electrical work, under the hood. Thus far, everything about my car is stock.
cool, welcome. if you need a hand or want to learn more about the car at all; there are a handful of us in EP
Thank you for the welcome response! You might see me mostly around Pioneer Trail/Hwy 5/212/312 taking the scenic rte
Subie Newbie here I just bought a 2002 Impreza Outback, so I'm now officially part of the "in" crowd! Some of you might know me from the Twin Cities autocross scene. (I'm the head instructor at the MAC Autocross Novice school in case anyone is going to that.) Been lurking on the forums here for awhile, time to come out of the closet. Any advice on this particular model? It only has 58k on the clock, so it's pretty low mileage. I feel like I got a real good deal...single owner car for 8k. (KBB says $9,700) I'm guessing I have a while before I need to think about the timing belt. Anything else I should check out right away? Any known issues with this motor/drivetrain? Anything? Thanks in advance for any advice! Patrick Washburn Wausau, WI
welcome aboard, they are pretty solid cars for the most part, head gaskets are one of the few things with them...nothing some STI head gaskets can't fix
Ok here is my official entry to this forum Hello! my name is Antonio  I just bought a 2000 Impreza RS (2 door) from an insurance auction. the car came from California with a front end damage with the following broken parts: both headlights, broken CF hood (being fixed), fog lights, P/S fender, radiator & fans, radiator support...etc and here are the mods that came with it: header with a Greddy cat back exhaust, CAI, STI spoiler, eBay taillights (Cheesy IMO) and useless gauges up the a$$! lol It also has 90K miles with no rust! I did the timing on it since the old belt was damaged by the accident too! The car is almost fixed and ready to be driven Oh I also own a Mazda MX-3 RS. It's only 100hp for now with an average of 35MPG Soon will be turbo, aiming for at least 200whp. That's a lot when my car only weighs 2100 lbs. I will post pictures of both cars latter... Nice to meet you! Thanks!
Welcome. Sounds like you know what you are doing with the fixing of the RS. Post up the pics when you are done fixing.
I just bought my first SUBARU, a 1997 Legacy GT (manual)with 156,000 miles. I won't get it for another couple weeks. This will be my first car since being a teenager that I plan to improve. I wouldn't mind some advice on what I should do when it first arrives. thank you in advance for your help!
