I have zero in the way of service records. I really want to make sure that I get to know every quirk it has before hitting the road. I figure to change the timing belt and tensioner right off the bat and all the fluids. But what else should I be looking at before driving the car? Then I plan on up dating the lights, tires, rims, and chip.
Just wanted to say hi. I am from Bismarck, ND and have an 05 STi. Didn't know about this site tell a few days ago, I am mostly over on IWSTi. Hope to get to know some of you guys. later
Howdy! I don't remember if I intro'd myself before but have been lurkin' for a while now. No Subie yet but I'm looking for a DD and it's a possibility. Interested in finding a WRX (blob eye if possible). It's just too bad I'm a college student (read as low on $), hahaha. Anyway, nice to meet you guys!
personally i would reconsider your options, there is a nice GC for sale pretty cheap on here now... eitherway, welcome.
Nice to someone else in the Mankato mafia. I have about 200k miles between two subarus and have yet to have a tensioner fail. As far as a chip goes, they really aren't worth your time. I drive a multicolored legacy, so you may see me around.
Ok, I just sold the Subaru to my friend and less then 24 hours crashed it! after fixing everything, he crashes it! Well :ugh: I'll still be on this website... oh and here are some pics of my MX-3 RS 100HP rocket! :bowrofl: and yes I know, it needs a paintjob. I will be doing that next month Also getting Megasquirt for it + ITBs :jumpy:
^ are you talking about that blue one that was just recently put up on CL and in the WTB section? Hmm, I was kinda hoping for a manual and something with moar speed. I know there's no way to get a blob eye for the $5K (around) I've got.
hey BD welcome. come to FS one of these fridays i want to meet and see your car. weve finally got almost enough to make a B series mafia....:eek3:
Whoops, I just made my own intro thread a few minutes ago. I didn't know there was already a thread designated to this. Sorry MODS.
Hi I'm new just moved to Blaine from Indiana. This was the first local forum i found so I'm going to assume I'm in the right place.
You are! Welcome to MnSubaru and check out \/\/this thread\/\/ if you plan on attending some local car meets. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7485&page=89 Hope to see you down there!
welcome to mnsubaru and Blaine too. There are a few of us in this area. Did you have a local forum in Indiana?
Bradimus we are a very tightly knit forum family here man glad you joined and hope you stick with us. we have weekly meets down at Firestone off of university ave. like the guy showed you above. we hope you make it out maybe this friday to see and experience the MN street racing scene.
I didn't really interact with many people out in Indiana as far as car stuff was concerned, because most of the people had complexes. It was mainly just me and my dad. Glad to hear this is a real community and I'm happy I found it. I'll try to stop in this weekend or the next to the Firestone thing. It's been a long time since I've been around any sort of car scene so this should be good.
newbie My son talked me into this! I have a 2003 WRX Wagon and I love it! My son, Jeff wrexinator03 bought his car first and said I copied him! My name is Dawn from Lino Lakes.
only one thing hotter er COOLER then a soccer mum is a WRX mum.. welcome.. ha ha and no this is not leg-humping just Aussie humor...
Whatup, new to the site. Had my '03 WRX for about 4 years now. Still stock, except for some 17" black rims. Living in Uptown Minneapolis, but went to highschool at EPHS. Graduated in '06. Right now going to school at Normandale. Thug in my Meteorology class told me about the site. Excited to be here.
you're the one I saw on excelsior blvd like a month or so ago. I waved, but you looked like you were in another dimension. I was in a silver STi. your plates caught my attention cuz my initials are BC... funny you mention a meteorology class, I almost went to school for that.
Yeah I live pretty close to Excelsior. If you caught me in the morning I was probably half asleep and if you caught me after school I was probably in a rush to get home. Any other time of the day and I was probably ripped. Give me a honk if I'm not paying attention.
Hello everyone, I live in the cities right now. Originally from a small town in ND. Sadly i currently do not have a Subaru anymore. Was an '03 bugeye, WRB (tractor in my hicktown ran it over). Will post pics if i can find them.
haha right on. I think you were probably ripped then, as it was about mid-day. I could have side swiped you and I don't know that you would have flinched. I was jealous of your plates. are your initials also BC?
Where do you know me from? Good chance I was just incredibly bawnged. My initials are BC, but it's also pretty much been my first name my whole life. I also like to say it stands for BLUE CAR. Ya, sometimes it just takes a lil side-swiping to get my attention. Or just rev up and we'll play some speed tag. Though, the STi will probably pwn my face.
