welcome. You should get some black wheels on that car...low pros...I think it would look nice.

yeah gunmetal looks awesome too... not that you can really compare, but there happens to be a turbo Audi wagon in my lot, white, like your wagon, and he has black wheels, lowered it...and I believe the wheels have a silver/chrome lip. I must say, it looks pretty mean...

Hey everyone -- I'm a newbie and I'm a 25-year-old professional drummer, living in Mpls & driving a 2004 WRX wagon in WR Blue that I bought 3 months ago from a seller in Boston.

I flew out, put the plates on, and drove it 1600 miles back to Minnesota via Canada. I LOVE the car, and it reminds me of that fact every time I hop in. 94k miles, but the previous owner had it since new and babied the crap out of it. I'm confident it'll last another 100k or so.

Everything is stock, but I just ordered a Momo shift knob... what else should I consider that fits into the low-cost but high-satisfaction gain category?

Currently I've been looking into sway bars.

I'm pretty new to online forums in general. What does "bump" mean? I see it all over the place here, and I feel like a senior citizen asking that...

Saying "bump" in a thread causes your thread to be "bumped" to the top of the recent threads list again. If you click "New Posts" at the top of the forum, it shows what threads have been posted in since your last visit. If for instance, you have a sale thread for something you want to sell, after a week nobody sees it because it has been pushed out of the way by other threads. By posting 'bump' in there, it moves it back to the top of the list. You don't necessarily have to post the word "bump" to accomplish this, you could say whatever you want really. Any new post will bump the thread to the top.

    Welcome,

Rear Sway bar is a must on a wagon, the stock bar is a wimpy 17mm, this keeps the socer mom from having the rear step out.

Try Whiteline adjustable also replace the links at the same time, I use Kart Boy.

Go with wheels and tires next.

17" wheels with a good set of summer Ultra Performance tires. Keep your stockers for winter use, and find a set of winter tires.

    Have Fun, Mike

KartBoy end links -- Billet aluminums, right?

Will I regret a non-adjustable sway bar big time if I go that route instead of adjustable?

I'm actually thinking just 20mm genuine subaru to start, since I can find that for $85 brand new. Is spending twice as much on an adjustable 22mm bar going to be worth the difference?

I dont care for the gold wheels

I think Gunmetal is SICK thats what I would paint my car. That with some black or dark dark blue or even red would be the sweet spot.

    Newbie

Hey guys I am new to the mn subie forum.

I was at Burnsville Wendy's the other day and a nice guy with his two kids were leaving.

He approached me and said nice car! He had a outback wagon(?) in the shop next door getting his tires done.

Anyway he told me to look up the MN forum and I did. So shout out to him!

I just bought a 03 WRX sedan last month. And looking forward to being a part of the Subie community. Before this I have been a long time member of the Jeep community and forums.

    -Long Tran

P.S. Do you guys burn on those with automatics?? I am  thinking about
getting a 5 speed because I am finding myself bored.

I'm rockin' the auto...though it does lack a sense of "connection" it's still fun. I'm glad my GF's WRX is a stick, so I get to rip around in it every once in a while :) Welcome to the site!

Hello. I am not currently a Subaru owner. But, I have looking. I am wanting to buy a 98-01 2.5rs. Its going to be a long search from what I have found so far. I sold my Jeep, and possibly selling my DD 240 so I can buy a clean subaru for a year round DD. I have always wanted one(first import i really liked, lol), so decided it was time to add one to the garage.

    My current toy is a 1990 240sx with a built KA-T:

hey everyone! i'm moving up to minneapolis next week and starting law school at UMN this fall so i'm getting a headstart on getting to know my new local scene. my name's alexis/lexie/lexass/allie/lex/any other way you wanna chop it up, i'm 25, originally from milwaukee, went to school in boston, lived in dc for a few years, now back up in milwaukee until i move to minneapolis. my car's name is boss and he's an '08 sti. i also own jeeves, an '06 range rover sport supercharged.

car is stock for now but hopefully will get some $$ for mods soon! i'm thinking of getting it done up to show for a few years while i'm still in school and whatnot then taking it out and rallying it til it's busted and beat.

since i'll be new to the area (and i happen to like to cook) i'm definitely down for cooking some food and having people over once i get settled. i have an apt in uptown so not tons of room but i'll make it work somehow. feel free to go check out my myspace in case you want to know what else i'm into besides cars: www.myspace.com/alexiskelley and shoot me a friend request if you want - all the good pics are for friends only! just let me know you're from MNSOC because i definitely deny people i don't know.

looking forward to meeting you all soon!! :wavey:
