New Subie Owner I just bought my 2003 Forester XS and I absolutely adore it. This is my first Subie and I'm sure it won't be my last. I'm pumped to get to try it out in the snow!
Hey guys and girls! Anyone from the north east? I live in duluth and am new to the forum... Looking for some connections with the locals!! I havent figured out how the friend thing works yet, so, if your from duluth or anywhere up north, let me know whats up! Friend request? (if that is how it works?)
Hello, fellow duluthanite. There are a number of us that are around here occasionally. but if you're looking for local events, www.d-sce.com (duluth-superior car enthusiasts). We meet down at Port Terminal every Tuesday night at 6:30, hang out for a while, then head off somewhere to eat.
I just moved to the Cities from Duluth to sell Subies at Walser. Haha. I'm up in Duluth fairly often still.
What up Hey all I am new to this community just saying hi I drive a legacy and will be looking for parts, and advice and maybe some help to work on my car from yall!! :yumyum:
Hello- I am not sure how I didn't find this sooner but I am excited to get connected with other MN Subaru drivers. I drive a 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5 MT. I know my Outback won't break any land speed records but I enjoy the car and love the H4. Great Site!
hey im just your average village idiot. but n e ways i drive an 02 wrx silver wagon just a few mods cat back three inch exhaust 4.5 inch tip, weaponR cold air intake 17" enkie rims w/continental gt tires and a busted windshield where the rear view used to hang do to the extensive car stereo. want to do more mods but have no place to do them and not all the knowledge to do them right the first time. and i spend alot of time in my car in the last year i put on 37,000 miles whoopi huh?
Hey everyone new here from Hastings, Got my Wrx wagon about 2 months ago. Love the site, excited that there is so many other Subi owners around. Can't wait for snow.
hi my name is brent I am trying to get into subaru right now, I have been a toyota and honda guy want to try something new
welcome to the site!!!! winter will never be the same.. never before will you have a car that listens as well as a beloved subie.
New WRX owner I acquired an 08 WRX Sedan (yeah I know) recently. Its a spark silver sedan. I drove numerous Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda products before but this is my first subie and first awd car. I like everything they did to the 08 except the mushy ride. Makes a good DD though. Hope to meet up with you guys soon once the weather gets a little warmer. sub 20s is a little hard for me to deal with.
there are still meets and events year round if you're interested! welcome to the site, and congrats on the new car.
hiya guys! Hey guys! My name is Nam, and I'm only 15 at the moment, but I hope to get a Scooby as my first car, since they're so reliable and long lasting! p.s. It's ok for me to be here even though I'm 15 and have no license... right? lol
Thanks! I'll be sure to read them and I hope to get along with everyone as well. Thanks. I'm hoping to get a 98-01 GC6/8 L or RS, since it seems to be around the price range for a first car. Plus, it's my favorite body style of all the Imprezas
nah, go with a BD(legacy gt sedan). looks pwn the gc looks, plus they are the same car. aside from the ass kicking my car gives the gc's. check it http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29534&highlight=9blackmax6
Heh, looks nice, but I think GC/GM > BD, but that's just my opinion. lol But if I'm unable to find a 'proper' GC, my second choice would be a legacy, then a forester as a third. edit- Oh, and a GC is 'smaller' than a Leggy, right? Because one of the reasons why I chose a GC is because I need to at least leave space on the driveway for a car to drive into the garage..
hey guys. some of you have met me and we have gotten off on the wrong foot. names yeng. i drive a pos 240. btw, i find it hard typing on a laptop. so, please bear with my typing. and i hope to be out at events next season.
Yeng, welcome to MNSubaru. As you now now, it's a tight nit community around here. MNSubaru the site and the newly created MNSOC (minnesota subie owners club) have a number of events each year. Please feel free to join us. Check out the events forum!! If you have any questions please Private Message any of the moderators.
hey everybody. my names drew, im a student at ndsu, and im in the market for a 2.5rs. i figured i would get in the most local subaru loop to get some knowledge under my belt. i currently drive a 3000GT that does not go well with north dakota/minnesota winter weather. im looking for a subaru because i want something awd and looks hot, and the 2.5rs meets both criteria. and from what ive heard, once youve owned a subaru, youre hooked for life. sorry for the long winded intro.
Help finding parts for 06 STi Hey guys im new to this forum. I drive a 2006 STi with the factory short throw shifter and a titanium shift knob and thats about it. I am looking to buy someones used spt catback exhaust and an spt intake. Do you guys know where i would be able to find both/either of those?? Thanks
Welcome to MNSUBARU. Keep looking at For Sale thread somebody might be selling what you are looking for. You will need to get a tune if you going with air intake. You might be ok with SPT but for better results get it tuned.
Hi I am the proud new owner of an '05 Impreza wagon wrx - red!!! Literally my dream car and for being only 22 I am very blessed to be owning it. Unfortunately I have been a sad victim of the Minnesota roads in winter, a minor fender bender, but I will need a new bumper cover which gives me more of a reason to be with my car!!! I am excited to see where my Subaru takes me!
STI newb here! This is my first post on the forum, I drive an 07 WRX STI Limited. Bone stock. The first 'mod' on my list is a set of Blizzacks LM-25's and some cheap cheap wheels for the winter. Some pics from my crappy camera:
Hi I'm Brian Hey I guess this is my chance to introduce myself. Well like you would have guessed, my name is Brian. I'm 21 and I'm new to subys, but not new to cars in general. I just sold my 1998 mitsu gsx and it was my baby for a good 4 years. I finally decided I had to get rid of it and get something a little more reliable and all year round. The car was a pretty standard 50 trim setup with 680cc injectors, walbro 255, fmic, blah blah blah. I did have a little head work and some really mild cams on it, but nothin super crazy. Made 265awhp on a dyno dynamics dyno and ran a low 13 because I couldn't launch for the life of me (noob at the track). A buddy of mine just bought a wrx and I've had the joy of helpin him swap a few parts from a wrecked sti onto it. We went out in a pretty big snow storm and I was amazed at how much better his wrx handled in the snow then my dsm. Anyways, if anybody actually cares about me... I'm a super sophmore at North Dakota State University and I'm majoring in mechanical engineering. I spent one year at Iowa State and decided business just isn't for me and tuition is wicked expensive. When I'm not in ND I reside with my rents in MN. I look forward to getting to know some of you guys. Thanks for the space, -Brian
