FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!! i think you'll have a blast with it in autoX. it is certainly pretty beast in rallyX! if you haven't had it tuned yet, bullwinkle (nate) just got the tactrix cable he needs to tune the 08's and i highly recommend you link up with him ASAP. welcome!
this has got to be one of the best pics I have seen on here in a long time... (other then Adrenalin Rush's)
I wish, as long as I run in stock I can't make any changes at all to my ECU. The only thing I can do is air filter, front sway, shocks, brake pads, CBE, and tires. If I do anything else, I get bumped to STU and then I had better go all out because if not I'll get smoked.
My buddy Matt took that shot, then my wife (graphic designer) did some post-production work on it to make the background black and white. I'll tell him you like it!
What did you used to drive in Hutchinson? I lived in Hutch and went to school there about 4 years ago. Used to drive a "Barcelona Red Pearl" 97 GSX.
I remember you, you gave me a ride in it once haha. Was pretty quick last I remember. I used to drive that 99 Green Eclipse RS that I ended up turboing later on and then sold that and bought my 91 Black Talon TSi AWD mid last year. I still have seen that car every once in a while here in town.
HI my name is mike, i have a 07 2.5i, no big plans for it, maybe 4pot fronts, 2 pot rears, sway bars, and eventualy some hotbits for the rallyX. just a reliable daily driver with some get up and go.
Hello all, My name is Dylan. I just moved to Minneapolis from california, but i am originally from wisconsin so i can handle the cold...i hope. I have an 06 sgm sti, the only thing i have done to her is install a cobb short shifter and cobb knob. Looking at getting wheels next...I have seen a couple sti/wrxs driving around in the cities and they all honk and wave, thought that was pretty cool
No issues yet. I read the whole forum mentioned above on the place before I even went and looked at the car. The reputation may be bad, but the car was solid. I had a few friends beside myself test drive it, and they also inspected it a few times before I bought it. I made sure to give it plenty of looks/drives before I took it over. It felt, looked, and drove solid enough for me to bypass the reputation and purchase it, but I'm just looking for something to go wrong. So far, haven't had a hint of anything wrong with it. Just drove it up to Big Lake from Saint Paul over the weekend, smooth ride, no weird noises, good handling, shifts smoothly. I'll let you guys know if anything goes awry.
i drive pass that place all the time since my family owns a business down the street... everytime i come by it i glance over it... but i never saw him ever working on that car before... or never seen it there before... i asked him about it and he said the car had a clean title... this hmong guy wanted it... so Dave got it... and at the last moment the hmong guy told him that he didnt have money for it and he doesnt work... so Dave decided to sell it...
Know any other info on it? It def doesn't have a clean title, it's salvage, but he told me that up front. Apparently not to you though, so that's shady. He told me what body parts were replaced (front bumper and front drivers side fender). Other than that he said it was in mint condition. The interior is perfect, no stains or anything. Rest of the body is good as well. My buddy and I inspected where the damage was done under the hood. You can tell they hammered some stuff out, but the sub-frame was right on, that's mainly what I was worried about. Also the timing belt too was cut in the accident (again drivers side front impact), so he replaced that. That's everything that he told me was done to it.
Hey all, comin over from mnsc. Name is Brian, if you havnt figured that out. I just picked up my Suby tonight. Its an '05 Legacy GT wagon. It has 17k miles on it and looks brand new still, so I got really lucky. Been looking at Subaru for a few years, but just got serious about purchasing within the last 5 months. Had an o5' xB and just couldnt take another winter with it. It served me well for 5 years, but I could not drive it any longer. Finally settled with this. I'm not up to spec on the color codes and key words, but its the darker blue color.
I'm new, just got back from basic and my brother Michael48 on here told me to sign up. What is the funnest thing the group likes to do or meet at? firestone? what is that?
Hi this is tank1987, I am very new to the Subaru scene have always loved them, though always drove trucks, finally said screw trucks and bought an silver 05 WRX. I have only put the SPT Intake on, it came with a 3 inch catback exhaust though cant really figure out what brand it is he had it off when I bought the car and I figured I might as well throw it on considering it came free with the car. Its seems to be good stuff it bolted on and everything lined up just perfect so hopefully its good stuff. I am hoping to do up pipe and down pipe, tgv deletes, up grade the turbo, and injectors and fuel pump, so thats my plans for the spring early summer. Well if you read thanks for listening to me. Saw this post and just wanted to say hello to everyone.
Sup MN Subi Owners! Hey guys, Name is Aladdin, I've been a fan of Subi since forever, and after 6 years of paying bills, I decided to treat myself to that car I always wanted... I am a proud owner of an 05 Aspen White STI. See ya guys around...
wow, driving a subi makes you feel like you own the road, and everyone around you are just worthy enough to drive on it... haha the power... I never knew of such power... *sigh....* hahaha
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caveat_emptor The guy does crap work, I have seen several of his cars. Always the same, siren song of low price and a buyer will make any excuse to make the car seem ok because the price is right and they want it to be ok. hopefuly you didnt get one of the really bad ones I saw, like the ones he couldnt put swaybars back onto, or the 02 with the front of and 04.
I'm not the type of guy that would spend that much money if I had to talk myself into it, or make excuses to make it seem ok.

Hi all, Just found the forum, which is cool because its local. I'm more in to the offroad/ truck scene, but recently acquired my brother-in-law's old Civic as a city shooter/ commuter vehicle. He blew the old motor, so I helped him swap in a JDM, and rewire everything from OBDII to OBDI. I know my way around cars/ motors, but new to imports. I haven't had a 2WD or FWD vehicle in over 12 years, so it takes some getting used to. After recently getting to drive a (500+whp) gen8 Evo, I kind of like the idea of AWD and a turbo... But instead of going the Mitsu route, I'd like to go Subaru. So, I'm in the market to pick up (probably next year) like a '96 body style 2.5rs and do an STI swap. After that, work my way towards stage cross... I'm here for research and resources. Thanks!
Newbie Hi everyone joined MN Subaru today, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Q's woman some of you may have seen me around. I recently purchased a 1998 Subaru Forester S and loving it.
