Hey everyone! My name is Joel. I joined the forum back in May but didn't start posting till yesterday. I was all hyped up to pick up an 06 2.5rs this Friday but sadly, it sold before I could get to it. :emo: Now I am searching again, just waiting for the FS board to open up to me!
Thanks olegrad. I did see that, but I was looking at the Bloomington Motorwerks 2.5rs with 86k miles for $8,000. That's more in my price range. If anyone sees a deal like that again, please let me know! Year doesn't make a huge difference to me. As long as it's clean, close to 100k miles or less, and no more than $8,000, I am interested. Thanks guys!
nEwb!? HeLLo AWDers. I am new to this forum & on my 3rd subie. My name is Dan and currently have a 2001 forester soon to be for sale, a 2001 2.5RS and have wrecked a 2000 2.5RS. All silver. Love that color. Thanks again Benny and Shorten.
Hey guys. Another newbie here. Found this place in a roundabout way, but happy to be here. I own a 2005 WRX Wagon, whose one major fault is the automatic transmission (the ex-wife insisted when we bought it). I plan to change that someday. Anyhow, now that my alimony's paid off, I can afford to catch up on the maintenance I've been neglecting, and after that, it'll be time for some mods.
Sup everyone! I dont have a WRX yet, but someday ill have a WRX wagon sitting the garage! Hopefully sooner the better!! Caint wait to the the for sale forum unlocked!
^^^Welcome. Gotta be the same apex8 that bought Nicks Evo back in the day? I seem to remember talking about it(at C&C)being sold for an M3.
Newbie Here Hey, whats up everyone? I've been a member for awhile, but this is my first post. My roommate got me into Subarus a couple of years ago, so I bought a 2003 Forester XS, which I love. It is so sick in the snow. Love it. When the engine fails, I hope to make the changeover to an STI setup. That would be awesome.
STI swap for your forester? Why not just buy an older STI when that time comes, they'll be about the same price. STI Motor and tranny will cost you about 10k now.....an 04 will be that cheap in two years or less.
My First Subaru - 2005 Legacy GT Wagon Just bought my first Subaru, a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon. I've got three kids and a dog, so the utility is important, and so amazing considering even the stock performance. For me, it's one of those rare instances where the wagon actually looks better than it's sedan siblings. Sad that they split the line-up and cut the Legacy Wagon in the US, although I never understood the Outback sedan. No modifications (yet) apart from the new tires/BBS rims for the summer and the stock rims with 3-month old winter tires that I bought the car with. I'd like to do coilovers and lower it an inch or so, and tint the windows for starters. I love the idea of 300HP, but I'm hauling kids and hockey equipment, not ass. Maybe do something with the exhaust too? I'm going to be 40 later this year, so this car is a bit of a "responsible mid-life crisis" to me. My last car, a 1995 3-Series was the best car I ever owned, including my very first car, a 1966 Mustang 289. I absolutely love this car. Even my dad, a street-rodder and life-long Ford guy, says it "screams". His words when I let him take the driver's seat, "I could get used to this," -- he's going to be 70 next year. Love the Subaru communities and looking forward to a long and happy relationship. Needs a bath today -- post pics afterwards!
Sounds like you got the best of both worlds! If I ever have kids, I'll definitely go the same route. Welcome!

:wavey: Welcome! I had fun driving this the day you bought it! Seems well taken care of, and couldn't find any signs of previous mods.
Hey all, Matt here. I've always been a Subaru fan. After many years in the VW community, I'm ready for something different (less tight pants, tire stretch, whining, etc). Anyway, I'm looking for an aspen white sti currently without much luck. If anyone knows of anything, let me know! Currently, I've got a gti and a custom 1000cc 'trike' (www.heapv.com/build) that I'm working on. I'll post some pictures tonight from home.
Did you get that at the VW dealership in St. louis Park? Right off 100? Anyway, welcome! Welcome to the site. lol@ less tight pants.
