Thanks! I look forward to hanging out with ya'll and learning more about possible upgrade paths and rally options. It's my dream car, but I'm not scared to put her on some dirt. I grew up driving on snow and mud in Hubbard county. That's how I drove my 2.5 GT Limited into the ground. If this one makes it to 100k, I'll be happy! -J
Good morning, My name is Colin and I currently drive a 2004 Volvo S60R. I am looking to sell my car and purchase an older bug eye WRX or a 04+ STi. Depending on prices and condition obviously. I have had alot of experience with AWD, and turboed cars in general. A list of my previous cars include: 92 Talon AWD, 92 Laser AWD, 87 Starion, 89 240sx, and my current 04 S60 R. I will post pictures when I get home from work. Thanks! -Colin
Hey From WSU Hey there everyone, My name is Jordan and I'm a full-time student at Winona State University, live in Pine Island though and own a 1997 Legacy GT with about 215k miles on it (runs like it just came off the lot of course:biggrin She's a work in progress but she's still my baby haha. Hope to really start getting involved in meets and events for Subarus.
Hello, I'm new to this forum. My name is Sam, I drive a 94 impreza FWD(want to make it AWD). I'm new to the area moved up from Chicago and 8 months before that I lived in Colorado.
September must be the "Join MNSubaru" month! Welcome everyone! Great pics! Weekly meets are here: Midway Firestone on Friday nights: http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7485 Lake Calhoun on Tuesday nights: http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24969
New in Fargo/Moorhead I have been part of wrxtuners.com for a few years and finally found a MN site. I am new to this site and hope to meet some fellow WRX's around the Fargo/moorhead area!
New to the Subaru crowd Hey guys and gals. Just picked up my first Subaru, an '09 WRX. A friend recommended I join this site. Looks like a great site with a wealth of knowledge. I've been a gearhead for many years, but have stayed primarily with American muslce. However, I did own a 3000GT for a couple years, so I do have some experience with turbo awd cars. Although, I realise the WRX is a whole different kind of animal. It's going to be my daily driver, so not going to mod it very heavily. Plus, as my screen name suggests, I have another car that gets most of my attention and wallet. Though, I have no intension of leaving the WRX alone, either. Here's the to-do list: Short throw shifter (already ordered) Bigger wheels to run in the summer (considering 19's) Winter tires for the stock wheels Seat heaters (already got them, installing them next weekend) Multi-media stereo (the stock stereo really sucks) Up pipe, down pipe, panel filter, and tune (next spring) I'm amazed at the power the little 2.5 liter puts out. Plus, my wife is happy that its much more practical than some of the other cars I've had, not to mention the good gas milage too. It's fast, fun, and my wife is happy with it. Can't ask for much more than that.
Hello, I guess I am a 'newbie'. I drive a 99 Impreza L. This is my first Subaru and I don't plan on owning anything else from now on! I live in Duluth and look forward to meeting fellow subaru owners. peace
Newbie Hey Guys/Gals! So I am pretty new to this forum thing! I was at work a few weeks ago and bumped into a guy at the gas station driving a 05 STI (I have an 05 WRX), anyhow I saw him filling it with E-85. I got to talking with him him and he told me about all the mods he did to his car and recommended me to this site! SO here I am. I'd be very interested in doing that to my car and am looking for someone to help me along the way, and meet some people while I am at it! Eat, Sleep, Subaru....Jake
Just bought my first Subaru this week. A 2009 WRX STi. It gonna be a ton of fun to mod it out and make it even better. I've been driving a modded out Acura RSX for the last 8 years, so this is a nice step up! I've got less than 200 miles on it, so I'm still getting used to the different clutch actuation feel and everything, but I really like it so far. The hardest part of driving it is that I can't feel/hear the engine in the cabin. I actually have to look at the tach to hit the shift points. This car is VERY quiet inside compared to my last car.
new to this forum,my friend petrakov08 told me about it,figured id swing by,lookin to maybe hit up some mn meets when im up north.
Well at least you bought a bad ace car. I didnt hardly see any of the mtb guys this summer. I had one injury after another and havent gotten to ride other than the 1st jolly roger

new member, not subaru owner hey guys, just stopping in to say hey. current ride is a volvo s60r, but plan to get a subaru eventually (older impreza or legacy) as a winter car. passed on a 6spd manual svx--> yes, a manual... I did look at legacy gt's before ending up in the volvo (no regrets) but used legacy gt's in a manual were not plentiful. , only thing available was a new legacy spec b,, little pricey for me though, heh. I'm usually over on swede speed but have come here from time to time to read something. hope you'll not mind me being on here. not search illiterate, etc etc.so no worries there. full disclaimer: brother has been a member for a while--> Zombie...
Hey, Pretty new to the site. Just recently got an 04 STi (normal stage2 and some cosmetics), and I'm lovin it! This is a great community, lots of info and nice people! I tend to join any local forum I can for whatever toy I drive/ride/tune. I was the guy that posted the G35 in the FS section a while back. Now I finally got a Subi, dont know what took me so long! Having a great time and learning a lot! Thanks, Dan Heres my new toy (sorry about the HUGE pic)
New to the site... Hey everyone. Just picked up an 02 WRX wagon on Monday. What a fun car these are. It's stock for now, and that will probably change at some point I'm sure. Bought it for a daily driver and winter car. Just thought I'd say hi to everyone, I'm sure I'll talk to most of you later. Thanks!
I happened to run into a guy with a black STi the other day and started talking and he told me about this site. Didn't catch his name though...

sure u guys will see me sooner or later, i need to pick some brains. I havent even had this thing for a month yet and i want to venture beyond basic stg2! Great community guys!
Hey I'm new to the forums too! I recently joined so I could start my search for an STI as I will soon be commissioning into the Air Force and leaving for pilot training. I have a few friends that are into Subarus, and I have driven a couple. I figured the AWD and the sporty features of an STI are exactly what I want before I move. Personally, I am into flying, dirt biking, street racing, hanging out...most things a 22 year old are into. I am obtaining a degree in Chemistry and graduate in May 2010. This will be my first 4 cylinder car. The car I currently have has probably reached it max potential (with its stock motor), and I want to move on.
Forums are pretty much popular for any performance car and even the non performance ones too. Thus i think it doesn't take Rocket science to find a forum of the car u drive.
Welcome! The only thing you might want to be careful of is that we don't talk about street racing, or condone it. Otherwise, have fun getting your first subie! Take your time, and it will come.
