We have an 03 with the power /mods equivalent of a Cobb Stage 2. Rides on Prodrive springs/KYB AGX with a handful of other suspension/brake performance mods. We are not even remotely considering a newer one. I'm just curious, what do the newer WRX's (model years 12-16 and 17-20) do specifically better for the average driver? Not talking about STI's.

the newer chassis are all more comfortable, but they're also super bland IMO

...and longer and wider since they're all on the Subaru Global Platform now.
