NF Performance @ MAPerformance's Proving Grounds 2012

It's been a long, but memorable weekend.
This year, the NF crew decided to bring both the Speeding Bullet and the Katana. Both project cars we have been working on for a while. And both cars participated in the drag event.

We had originally plan to also participate in the Road course event but time was running short. We'll be back next year to compete.

Friday was the test and tune day. Both cars were being dialed in for Saturday. The Katana's transmission wasn't cooperating with us, so we decided put an end to it for the day.

Saturday, arrives the transmission. YES, the guys pulled an overnighter to get another STi transmission back into the Katana, ON SITE.

The Katana ran decent on Saturday, but on Sunday, it decided to give up again. Time to move on.

Sunday, fun day. We had set our goal of 9.9 and achieved it.

it was very nice seeing everyone at BIR this year, I hope that next year would be even bigger...I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support and helped out, if it wasn't for everyone we wouldn't be where we are now so god bless all of you. I'm not forgetting one ok lol so the too I would personal like to thank is Mr. ko thank you for letting me drive the Katana it was an beast and letting me work next to you side by side lol we make a good team and last THANK YOU MR. VANNDE love to 6speed. I hope that this family just keep growing and growing and growing!!!

 

I wanna thank EVERYONE who came out and supported us. It was nice to meet new people that I havent met before and seeing old faces. Its you guys who keeps me motivated and want to move forward. It was a really crazy weekend for myself and Roger(thanks bro), both of us droppin that tranny like it hot.Lolz. We will have to resharpen the Katana, very soon. Thanks Mushasi for ride along, made me a little woosie. I better just watch next time. Next stop.......

 

I have some great shots of Ko in the engine bay of his car while it is up in the air. I hope to find some time to sift through everything and post up the good pics of the NF cars sooner than later. What a great weekend. Everyone worked really hard, and as a whole, the team pulled through. I thought we may have lost a few people during the 2 hour toast, but everyone survived. We did a good job flooding the event with NF shirts, they/we were everywhere. Thanks everyone for the food, thanks Bro for cooking 30lbs of meat on the two smallest grills I have ever seen. Thanks Ben and Ryan for rocking the "special" shirts. And thanks to everyone else for putting up with my awesome funk of sweat, bug spray, sun tan lotion, alcohol and more sweat.

I can't quote everyone I would like to on my phone but here we go. Thanks to anyone rocking NF this weekend, to the whole NF crew; because it goes both ways and without you guys we wouldn't have the cars set up and running they way they do so we can go out and represent NF.

Ko and roger- great work on that trans, can't wait to see it run at 100%
Ben- hope to see your car running events next year, even if we don't get to go head to head.
Nuke- we will do the monster pears again just not so fast. And thanks for the LC I now get ****ty MPG cuz someone loves to play with people at stop lights I'm just glad the clutch is bad or she would be racing it.
Steve- thanks for the awesome food and showing us you can still stick with the young guns.

Also thanks out to money for making little ricers come out to race Subaru now. Let that little ricer crx "run" on you now he is telling all his little ricer buddies that he beat an sti in a highway pull . Its getting out too, I had a little Toyota paseo want to show me how fast he was did a pull all they way through 4th......only took him a mile to do it but he made it lol.

Lol that crx was so rice it almost interested me to buy it...had 4sale written on the window but no info

 

Wow sounds like I missed out on a lot since I only came out for Sunday. You guys just seem to keep amazing me with your free spirit go get it done attitude. Everyone is so focused and determined to help ensure each others success and pick up one another from their failures or defeats. The values you've instilled in your team is unique to only a few. I look forward to seeing more of this comradery and experiencing many new victories in the near future. There will be many great stories to tell even before it's all said and done.

I wanted to also say thanks to ALL and especially Angelee for allowing me to share an opportunity with the Team at the road course. I hope you've enjoyed the ride cause I don't recall the last time I've given that many ride alongs in two driving sessions. I believe the brakes started on fire but I doubt anyone got a picture of that hehe. Incredible stg 1 Red WRX. Thank you, thank you!
