Check the rules. But to save you time, instructors are the only ones allowed to drive passengers around the track. On the list. 5 spots left
I will update this thread soon, but there is only a few spots left if you are interested. Here is the course layout for the event.
List is full pending everyone makes their Payments by Wednesday. Anyone who has not paid by Wednesday will give up their spot to people on the waiting list. Derek
Yes, please feel free to come and hang out. If time allows and instructor may even be able to provide a ride along in their car. It all depends on how the day unfolds.
Rules and Groups (Driver and Instrutor assignments) have been distributed. Let me know if you didn't receive one.
2 more days... It looks like i'll be doing this in the wrx. I logged just over 700 miles since swapping out my center differential/timing belt, etc. last week. Everything is running well and I only need to swap over to summer tires and put fresh oil in it tonight. Unfortunately, I won't have my prodrive exhaust on as I couldn't get the midpipe/axle back to seal well at all. It sounded great but the drone with a large exhaust leak Will someone be taking pics of us on the track? I could use a new pic for my desktop...
NF will have decals for sale for $5 for anyone at the event (participant or spectator). The following colors will be available: Black White Red Pink (Cherry Blossom) Yellow Green Mint Blue Navy Purple
How many instructors are gonna be present? I want a Purple NF sticker please. Also would anyone be selling MNSubaru stickers on saturday?
Just a few reminders for those attending tomorrow. The weather is looking less than favorable, but the show goes on. My best suggestion is to invest in some rain/waterproof outerwear, including shoes. Rain, and wet tracks can make for a good learning experience, but if you are wet and cold, it will be impossible to concentrate on the task at hand. Driving! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
If it is raining, registration and food will be kept in the classroom. Check the rules document for a map if you are not up to speed on which classroom we have. Pictures all depend on the weather. We have invited a few photographers out to the event. If you skipped over it, read what MNGman posted above.
Thank you everyone that came out tonight. Instructors you were fantastic. Students I hope that you had a great time. I am pretty sure everyone got all the track time they wanted. I have to say it was a really great event. There are a few more in the works for this season so stay tuned. I will be reaching out to all of the students in a day or two about how the event went for them.
Yeah, well I believe the rule is that the first DCTC event of the year requires Rain or Snow. Then the late summer events require hail. It is just how track days work.
