for us southern people thats kind of out of the way, I am taking 35w to 62e to 77 to 42, if you want to caravan we can meet somewhere over here jordan.
Yes, that's the way we'll be going. (35E to 52) FYI for anyone meeting at Menards, the Holiday off 694 and 252 currently has low E85 prices ($2.39, I believe). Holiday Stationstore, 420 66th Avenue North, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430 I haven't been to too many others though. Maybe they're all low now?
Hi guys, Check-in is at 8am and Mandatory Driver's meeting is at 830am. First car on track is at 9am. I'll be at DCTC tomorrow with BMW and will have the course setup before I leave and will report back on the track conditions. The current forecast for Sunday is some rain, but the DCTC track does a great job of draining the track. I've been there when we've had over an inch of rain and we were still able to perform safely, not that that's what I'm expecting but hope that gives you some idea what to expect from the track surface. I know everyone wish we had the best weather forecast possible but it's out of our control so we'll make the most of what we get and we'll make sure we'll have fun while doing it.
The Holiday by the Walmart in BC (Old Brookdale Mall) is still around $3.10ish, so i think its only that Holiday there at 694/252 that is inexpensive. Get it while its cheap!
Should be. I don't want to have another late payment this month... Last time I called BroCo customer service they said 1 more late payment means I am friendless for 1/2 the month and I get a ding on my friend credit record. Also I have to pay PYDF Insurance for all future months. (PYDM = Pay Your Damn Friend)
Well not if you never change your clothes and shorts. You're a smart and creative guy I'm sure you'll find other ways to pay for your rent.
If someone wants to sell their spot please let me know. It happens to be my birthday Sunday and found out the wife is working so I have a free day. If not I will pass by and just watch rain or shine.
If musashi/nuke and them are fine with it you can take my place if i can get my money back somehiw as i really don't want to take my mr2 with summer tires out. I'm listed on the list as a nonmember 14th spot vx But anyways give me a text @ 651-428-2793 if you are interested.
So looking at the updated forecast, I'm definitely thinking all season's. Should be a fun day in the wet
Thinking the same thing but think I will just bring them with and see how it goes. Less grip means more focus on driving techniques and car control in general.
I cant wait for this..but I am also not looking forward to this simply because of the weather, ice pellets and freezing rain /snow ugh!
Forecast is looking a bit worse now, if there is snow or ice on the ground my car won't be leaving the garage
ok so I just woke up from a nap and I feel like **** out of nowhere, it feels like someone took a razor blade to my stomach...pretty sure I got food poisoning because it came out of nowhere, I was fine all day till an hour ago fml. I am hoping it will just pass. ...I will see how I feel in the morning.
^^oh quit making excuses! Got my car tech today (thanks again NF crew), got my PS pump belt replaced, correct wheels/tires on, racing tote is packed...I'm ready to rock!
Remember stuff is going to be sitting outside in the elements. I am putting my tools and fluids in a cooler (waterproof). I am keeping my jacket, hat and a few things that I left in my car in a Tupperware bin. Plan on it raining on your stuff while you are running. For those of you that have never been to a track day, take everything out of the car. Including floor mats, unless you have rubber ones that you don't mind leaving in the rain.
Ah, well I was just guessing. Either way, I guess it really doesn't matter. Looking forward to tomorrow. The star specs should be fun in the rain.
Feel better comrade, nights with toilet intimacy are the worst. Oh, that's another spot the fine gentleman Ron could occupy on, you know, his birthday.
Is this still going to be on? We are past the point of a mild/possible snow/rain mix and are at the winter storm point with snow starting at 3am and continuning through the day and turning to rain by 6pm. http://www.weather.com/news/weather-winter/winter-storm-xerxes-20130413 I'm still planning on it, but wondering if it wouldn't be better to reschedule if possible. Please PM me if it does.
Very sorry for not being able to get back to you sooner. It's been a very busy day for me as I spend the whole day at DCTC with BMW and I just got home after stopping by the shop to make sure very thing was ready for tomorrow. And Nuke been very busy getting everyone in for Tech Inspection at the shop and tending to customers. We really appreciate your interest in our event, unfortunately we cannot accommodate your request at this time. We look forward to having you at our future events. Buddy and a few other friends helped me setup the course for tomorrow. Below is a quick teaser video we took to give you an idea. Today I got a chance to blast around the track in a 2011 Black WRX with winter tires in the morning and ZII in the afternoon. Oh what a treat that was. And then at the end of the day I got a chance to drift around the track in a Red Miata. Shhh Don't tell my wife.
Hey guys the event is still moving forward. I'll be there bright and early to greet everyone. We are not forcing anyone who is not comfortable in making the trip out. Please do what's in your best interest. We will be having more events in the future.
Based on the forecast I'm out, I'll wakeup early just to see if anything changes but it looks pretty unlikely.
Maybe you should ask via PM instead of making a big deal about it... I mean if they already said no, to an event they are hosting/paying for... why be a baby about it?
Not what I meant to do at all. Ignore the last post if asking why is considered being a baby. A 40 year old is far from being a baby.
Same here if there are snow/slush when i wake up i won't make it either as i only have my star spec tires and on a MR2 i highly doubt my car will get far from my driveway. Any possible way of not having the mandatory 8am meet? Or having a second one for guys that may not make it in the snow/sleet mix?
Give the current weather forecast we are expecting a few late starters, if you do choose to come out to the event just get there safely and we'll get you checked in and on the track.
Forecast doesn't improve too much through the afternoon. I'm in the same situation, car is on ZIIs and has no heat...
