Yes, yes, I know. You're like the little devil on my my shoulder tempting me to build my car....someday
Don't worry you're currently on Musashi Racing stg1, you're on the right track just be patient and when you get the NF stg 1 you'll be way ahead of the curve.
Are they still on winter blend or do they have summer blend already? If its still winter blend, summer blend may get you close to 600 10 sec car still What's next?
You have to have zipties holding your exhausts on as frequently as you change. How do you like this one in comparison? And the most important question - how does your wife like this one?
Why do you think my car is like it is.... I'm Musashi Racing Stage 0 Winter blend for sure. Let's do it. I'm still on the stock exhaust hangers actually. The stock exhaust and some aftermarket ones (like the COBB) don't have any nubs on the hangers so they slide on and off super easy. Only takes a few minutes to change. I like the exhaust so far. It does have some noise to it, but on the highway it's not bad at all. I'd say it's medium to quiet overall. My wife hasn't even been in the car yet, haha.
That's an easy fix brother. You know I provide on and off the track coaching and training. There's lots of training development we can and should do off the track before we get on track. Let me know Id be happy to help you and get you fast tracked to where you want to be.
You mean video games? I haven't used my Xbox steering wheel in at least a year! When's the next Musashi Racing video game simulator day? Do it!!!
haha video games, you must have me confused with the GT5 gurus lol. I haven't had time this year to set one up because I've been very busy coaching some friends on my simulator.
Me thinks that I need at least a full race season or two to pass "Musashi Stage 1"... ...unless engine goes boom first!
I added a bunch of photos to the thread on my new build. Check them out here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2484865 Here are a few of them:
Don't lie Ryan, I've seen your fan picture, laying down looking all sexy. Don't post it cause I know mr. B is an excellent shot with a paint ball gun.
I think Ben is on Koni inserts and RCE blacks. It could be different by now. You know how he is with exhausts
I am on the following: 08-10 WRX Donor Struts Koni Yellow Shocks RCE Black Springs I previously had BC's, but I was not happy with the ride. I've considered the RCE Yellow's, but I'm going to stick with the Black's for now.
You can go for a ride in mine when it is done. I'm going Koni's and RCE Yellows. I'm excited to get it done!
I had RCE Yellows and D-Specs in the Saabaru...even though the yellows had a high spring rate, they were still pretty comfortable on the pothole filled streets when the dspecs were set softer. I know the GR chassis rates are a bit different, but similar to the GD. Although I don't think that the yellows have a much higher rate than the blacks, so it may not make a huge difference in terms of handling advantages. To really get a nice riding coilover, ya gotta spend some cheddar, but I'm sure you already know that! The koni/spring setups normally make a great DD setup. I would say the stance is nice too.
I have come to the conclusion that a nice coilover cannot be had for $1k. Or even $2k. I'm not prepared to spend more than that, so I have gone with the Koni/RCE setup and I'm very happy with it. I honestly wish it sat a little higher up, but it's not that big of a deal. As for the Blacks vs. Yellows, I just want whichever gets me down the 1320 faster I think the softer Black's may actually help me hook up better off the line, so I'm going to give them a shot. Not too interested in turning, haha.
