Did you weight the wheels before they went on the car? Wondering if it's under 43lbs. That's a very good track set up. Ben did you have to raise suspension at all to fit 255s I remember you being lower then that?
TireRack lists these tires at 28lbs. The wheels are supposedly 17.8lbs. I weighed the mounted and balanced setup on the bathroom scale and it was 45lbs, so the listed weights seem to check out. I had raised the coilovers all the way up for the winter and lowered them down to this height when I put the BBS on this spring. I left them at the same height with the new wheels and they are fine. I think I could go lower and not rub, but I haven't tried and probably won't.
Boy do those words sound familiar lol I used those exact words a few years ago and then last year they hit 10.66 on the quarter. Keep it up and we may see 9's lol
I found out that these wheels are actually the D-Force LTW5, made in Subaru fitment: http://dforcewheels.com/pages/products.php So, they're actually NOT Honda wheels. They're BMW wheels!
I like the look of your new wheels. I just can't beat the deals I keep finding on the Enkei's (Love MNSUBARU classifieds!)
Yeah, those RPF1's are cheap/light/easy to find. A good combo. 17x9" / 5x100 is a bit hard to find though.
I'm limited by my class in autocross. Bigger wheels puts my into a heavily modded class. I don't need to go there.... yet.
tried to buy some 17x9 rpf1s but by the sound of it is that they no longer make it in the 5x100 bolt pattern you can get it in the 5x114 bolt pattern black finish comes in even less sizes but they do in a 17x8 which is big enough for me
As posted right above this, Dezod is the only place to get the 17x9", 5x100. They special order them every once in a while.
Yeah I read your post I just couldn't find anyone that had them or could get them. I will have to hit them up and see if i can get my hands on some.
I thought it was spelled that way? Jk. Too late to change it now. The video already has like 15 views
Nuke is not impressed by stock location turbo's. Must... go... rotated.... Or maybe just enjoy this for a while!
At least you don't have to worry about the motor flying apart now. I'm no expert, but will the drivetrain be ok with this much power? I haven't really seen anything on 2011 wrx trans falling apart or anything. Just curious, we will see I guess. That things gotta pull so damn hard. I'd love to see the look on some old dudes face in Porsche when you wax his ass. Haha
No, it will surely break sometime in the near future. The 4 puck will probably make quick work of the tranny.
Numbers.....Cool! Wanna take it out for a test run and see what other foreign languages you can speak? Wanna be a sta in a movie?
