Thanks for the great event NF Crew. Great event, great food, and great people to hang out with. Had lots of fun. Not only driving the crap out of wagon but spending time with quality Subaru people. My Instructor Felipe was awesome. Learned a lot from the guy. I thought my wagon was pretty decent until Felipe got in the seat. He showed me a another side of what it can really do. I was eating cones all day and it was awesome.
A big thanks to the NF crew and everyone that helped with this event. Another thanks to instructors Tony and Jordan for making my first track event a fun learning experience. Can't wait for the next one.
Glad you had fun, and had a good first experience around a track. You definitely stepped your game up after I took it out! haha Hope you can make it to more of these events!
I got so busy I hope someone has a video of the course layout? What were your thoughts on the course? Was it too short? Did it have enough fun and challenging elements to keep your interest? Any where were there soo many Subaru's out there?
I have one, if you can suffer through the audio of me driveling on. It's not "cut" yet. In the mean time, here is a still view from the passenger seat: Overall very enjoyable and offered opportunities to work on most things I was hoping to touch on. A few sneaky lines, hard late braking, decreasing radius corners, finicky "see how little input you can use" sections. A couple good areas to "rest". Short enough to get around to the part you want to work on fairly quickly, long enough to develop a rhythm at pace. I wouldn't mind driving that layout again. We're going to need more Lexus reps there next time me thinx.
If we do something new, we are really going to have to lay out something good. I really really really enjoyed that track layout. The spacing was good, you had enough time to setup for the next section... but still kept everything at a pretty fast pace.
It was a fun event and the track layout was good. There were some nice challenging parts of the course which made it very fun.
I would like to attend the friday night track day, please add me to the list if there is still a spot open. Thanks..
