No Engine...Ok to hook up battery?

This may be a stupid question, but I'm just wondering if anything crazy will happen if I hook up the battery to the car to check some electronics/wiring (gauges). The engine is out of the car.

Just make sure your Oxygen sensors aren't touching anything. They're heated and melt thru wires in a HURRY!

Unplug them and you should be fine.

 

unplug the fuel pump controller or you will be primming the garage floor

 

^^^that's what I was thinking...Is that the little green connector under the passenger side carpet? Would that cut power to the pump?

 

in the rear passenger side quarter panel in the trunk. its a box in there. un plug that first and you should be fine i would think

 

So, in a wagon, behind the wheel-well carpet, I assume?

haha...true. I found a picture of the controller, so I know what it looks like. I just like to know what I'm looking for before I go in there!

 

its the onlk 4x4 or 5x5 box in that area. has a wide plug in it
