Hey everyone. I have an 04 wrx wagon with 113,000 on it, no engine or tranny mods, and I just started to hear an odd noise when pushing in on the clutch. It happens whether I'm in a gear or neutral when running. It's not the squeak that you can hear when the engine is off. It almost reminds me of a power steering pump low on fluid, but not as loud. Checked the clutch fluid reservoir and it's in the middle of high and low. Tranny fluid is good. Any thoughts on this? Thanks
Also, the noise goes away once I start to engage the clutch or release it in nutral. have never launched hard, and never jam 2nd gear as well.
Read on Nasioc about this and was thinking the same. The symptoms that i read though didn't match up with mine. Ill keep digging through the internets
I just read that it could also be the pilot bearing. Looks like my tranny will be coming off next week it thats what it is Hopefuly my extended warranty will cover it. So if the tranny is off, what are some other parts that I might as well have replaced? I was thinking clutch at least.
Yeah, now it makes a noise with the clutch released in nutral. Push the clutch in an inch and it stops until I push farther in. Morries tomorrow am.
The bearing is totaled for sure, and my warranty doesn't cover it. Bummer. Enter the realm of NF, so $1700 I shant pay.
Bringing my car to NF tomorrow to replace the full clutch assembly. Havent driven her since Tuesday, which makes me a sad panda Lets get a sad panda face in the emoticon list!
