I thought my oem sub was blown so I ordered a replacement. I hooked up the replacement and it didnt work. I took out the stereo and the wiring harness looked fine, everything plugged in exactly like the diagrams I had been looking at but I still got nothing..I fiddled with the gain and the crossover but to no avail. I have a tough time believing that the two amp/subs in front of me are both broken so I am looking for some insight... Thanks
I think there is a little red LED on the sub/amp if im not mistaken that would probably be a good indicator if you have power before you start. If there isnt or its not on I would check and see if you are getting power to the unit. Use a 12v test light or a multimeter on the power and ground. If you have power I would check the remote wire. If no power I would probably check the in line fuse 1st if thats fine then follow the wires checking for a break or pinch.
^Thank you...I was looking for some type of indication that it had power but did not see a light. I looked for breaks and pinches but everything looked to be fine. checking light and fuse...
I don't need a subwoofer, and I would like some more footroom in the left rear of my 2005 Legacy GT Limited. Can I just unplug the cable at the subwoofer and remove the subwoofer box?
