I don't know what you got in your car, but it sure was working good. We were in our cars when you ran, man. Don't feel so bad, Evan's mom didn't even take pics of his car. LOL! ...at least on my camera. Long story. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> Well, power-wise, intake and exhaust, that's it. Otherwise... stripped A/C, relocated battery, clutch, flywheel, JIC custom coilovers, Kumho Victracer V700s (225/45-17), Rota Tarmac IIs, fr & r swaybars, s/s brakelines, powerslot rotors, Porterfield R4S pads (R4 for the track), stripped stereo, stripped seatbelts (except passenger), Corbeau fixed back seat, 4pt harness, etc. I am missing a few things.... No problem on the pics, for some reason I always get in under the radar screen at events...
...oh, and I think my car was capable of 58s with a little more time. I am entering this season with a new seating position (I actually lost sight of the corner cones on my first run), new tires, and new sways fr&r. I need to go back to the drawing board with regards to setup. ...and I have a pair of 10k springs in the garage I want to play with... I need more track time!
Sunday May 1 is the next event. I'll have a helmet by then. =) C'mon Fong, I'll show you what this civic can do. LOL.

I need to check, but I believe that a a turbo-back would put you in SM. They are not friendly to turbo-backs...

Just a heads up, next MOWOG is in St. Paul on May 22. I'll try to post the upcoming event in the thread title. Theres many numerous events so I'll just post the mainstream ones (MOWOG series and Met Council series) Kyle
Just wanted to point ou that the 1:08 in the pic wasnt my best run =] 147 Jordan, Izaak 02 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 70.858 68.588 66.620 Best... subaru... pic... ever... at least, for me it is. Look at that suby drift!
hey guys i just signed up for the may 22nd one tonight, good thing i did too cause i was number 120 out of 120! lookin forward to it and i might be goin to the st cloud one this weekend depending on the weather.
Well my girl was out filming some of the runs. I will have them posted up soon. It was subies as far as the eye could see. http://www.eagrimm.com/>MNSUBARU/ It will be in Auto-X bla bla self evident kind of directory.
The next MOWOG event is at St. Cloud on June 5. It's a faster track and its a change from typical parking lot autocrosses. Worth the drive in my opinion. However I probably wont make this one due to a foreseeable hangover. Kyle Photo by Benji Kanji MOWOG 2
Yea i'm gonna go. Yes the course sucks for our cars but it's still seat time for me. You coming? The camry did pretty **** good for a camry in STX. We got bumped to DSP because you weren't there! And i didn't get last. Sixth out of eight.
Yeah I'll be there. What did he have done to put him in STX? You should have seen me at Valleyfair, I was leading DSP until the rain stopped for the last run. There's really no way to compete with those R compounds.

I took the DSP title last year...with Azenis! } There is a slight disadvantage for STX, based on PAX, but it isn't huge. AS (the STi/EVO stock class for those that don't know) should be faster than DSP, not around here, though! You need to prep the car more... (I know, easier said than done...)
No kidding, its barely beyond D Stock. Last year I was stuck in STX with only rims done to the car. It's making me reluctant to even attempt to go to Milwaukee at all this year. When are you going to try running there, Christian. I doubt I'll be doing much more to my car, I'm getting bored with it and its got 75000 miles on it. Hopefully run an S2000 next summer and try and battle the rally cars in AS.

As for Milwaukee, not a big push for me to go there, but a national event, or two, is not out of the picture next year. I have a buddy in Portland, OR that just picked up an EVO a few weeks ago and he is pressuring me to attend some national events next summer. I may take a road trip out there to run an event, depending on timing. Now, the question is... do I want to sit in my car for a 24hr drive each way?! At 2715# and 500lb/in springs, the street tires (Azenis) have considerably more flex than the suspension!

My 40k miles 2.5 is just starting out still, and most of my mods are right in the STX upgrade path.
Oh I know theres plenty more to do, but at this point I'm not sure if I want to spend money on a car that is about to start rapidly declining in value and needing things replaced.
Replaced? ...at <100k? I have yet to have an issue on the RS, that car has gone through the ringer, too (and then some...). The rear struts on the STi have been the only warranty work on either car, ever (I realize you are out of the warranty, however). I understand if you are ready to move on, but don't blame the car... :I
Clutch went at 60k. It will soon need a new timing belt. How long do injectors and coils last? Do these turbos hold up for a long time? I'm sure different suspension bits and bearings are getting worn out. It's just the first car I've ever owned that I've had to make payments on, and I dont want to make payments if it wont be valued at the remainder of the loan or if it will require repairs, especially as it becomes harder to sell.
Well it is iffy still if my WRX will have it's trany in for the auto-x sunday. I am trying to decide which car to bring... 74 vett that needs work, NSX, Trabant. I am leaning twoards my NSX. The trabant would be funnier than hell!

Timing belt should be 100k? As for the rest, I don't know as I either don't have enough miles (STi) or don't have the same components (RS)... I don't expect anyhting will go downhill before 100k, but who really knows. I guess I have a different situation, so my view is a little skewed, I buy a car and don't expect to make any money back from a sale. With the need to consider resale values, you need to do what you think is best.
Honestly its all gonna depend on what kind of job I get. If I can afford to have two nice cars, the WRX will make a great winter/track car.
These events are filling up weeks in advance. If your planning on running this year and are not signed up, you better do so. The only events not full are August 6 in St. Cloud and the Valleyfair events in October(1,2). You can preregister on myautoevents.com
DSP, STS and STX all are dominated by subarus this year. The year of the sweep if we could win A stock and D stock! those two are highly unlikely though.
Even with only a few competitors in STX we get a close competition. STX 900 Kyle Greene 02 Subaru WRX 100.000 100.000 100.000 300.000 STX 101 Tim Dunklee 02 Subaru WRX 97.540 100.000 99.447 296.987
