I'm gonna be at the july 24th one! yeah for my first one, but i don't kow if its gonna be really fair for me to be in the SI class with a SM car.

You'll probably be out of it real soon with a trophy in hand. Good luck. See ya there.
Could one of you active autoxr's post the new races in the calendar. It would be much appreciated...i'll be forever in your debt.
Thank you. I have approved all events and they will now be on the calendar. Also, all the events for the next month will be posted on the homepage when you first enter the site.
Ok So i just signed up for the waiting list for MOWOG #5...my questions is...do ppl on the waiting list normally get in. And if so, how do they notify you if you can race. I am in SI btw, for this will be my first event.
in the previous events, yes, everyone on the waiting list has gotten in. but it's unknown about Mowog 5 with the huge waiting list. basically the first 10-15 are guaranteed, 20 is possible. we haven't had anymore than that on previous lists. i would say show up, even if your low on the list. many that are low on the list are probably going to blow off coming. Usually about 15min before registration closes, they call for people who are on the waiting list.
what kind of tape do you guys buy and where do you get it at? i read about the different color rule or whatever but i didn't see anything secific or any advice. btw, my car is black if that helps out at all.
Simple Masking/Painter's tape. i used to get mine at target when i worked there. but you can find it wherever. The minimum with is 1" so i usually just got that size. the narrower stuff is easier to work with, so 1" works really well. Blue or tan, it doesn't really matter on a black car. tan will probably contrast better though.
Don't use Blue...too hard to read on a Black car. Hey, any of you guys going to the MAC autocross this Sunday: I'm looking to buy some wheel from Todd Erickson. Is there anyone who could pick up the wheels from Todd, and bring them to DCTC on Sunday? I'm from central Wisconsin, and could use the help. Reply here or privately to: [email protected] Thanks and see you Sunday!
Sorry Pat, didnt see your post in time. Hope you got it taken care of. On another note: I cant change the topic title anymore so one of the mods can do it or just delete that part of the title since its in the calendar now anyway.
So who all was at the 24th event. I went and it was my first Autocross. I was #112 in SI. loads of fun.
I was there, number 72 SI. I had a blast, and am probably gonna sign up for almost every event i can next summer. It was way more fun than drag racing. btw, does anyone know how to check the final standings?
Now i'm in 3rd. out of second by only 4 points! Larry has missed to many events to place in STS this year now.
Looking at the preliminary results from yesterdays Porsche Club nord stern event, it looks like me and larry are in the top 10 pax. We both pulled off 1:18 runs, i was a tenth behind him. The average was around 1:21 So in other words, the two fastest subarus there were the two ones with the least HP. We also beat most of the porsches and vettes. (two out of like 10 vettes did beat me... I think only 2 out of around 30 porsches) so 2.5rs owners, never let the wrx guys tell you your car is slow.
I don't think the turbo helped much on this course either. Seems like a waste of a cool site to have it so slow, but I guess thats the only way to run DCTC now.
I second that....it is a very rare occasion that a STi even has a chance against me. Now....on the open track....that is a different story.
ok, i'm going to unsticky this so it clears up the stickies. will one of you locals to this thread search for it next year and bump in up. thanks. -admin
