This makes my brain hurt. With crazy market I'm just worried if some yahoo totals one of our cars trying to replace it at book value. Wondering if its worth calling my agent to see if they offer coverage that insures a percentage above the book value so I could actually replace it if the worst happened.
This one just ended the other day for $20k... Come on people. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-subaru-outback-6/
I'm polishing up the WRX and sending it to Bring a trailer, I wouldn't mind 20-50k to buy the next vehicle
If anyone needs a good laugh today... I think this thing is up there on the same level as the Broke Azz Baller Forester. https://web.archive.org/web/2022082...002-subaru-impreza-wrx-wangon/7526495052.html
Maybe this one will work... https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/d/osseo-2002-subaru-impreza-wrx-wangon/7526495052.html
I'm not up to date on the whole "going green", Cobb Accessport BS/drama right now but last I checked these things were going for like $500+ even used. So this might be a sweet deal for someone if that's still the case. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/pts/d/minneapolis-subaru-cobb-accessport-v3/7540011580.html
Not really a deal with as many are going for $300 unmarried now. Green speed really drew out their demise. Ironically links/haltech suddenly got more affordable at the same price
Yeah, I know, not craigslist...but I don't care. https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3566bwRE/2006-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti
you definitely get a much broader audience and more attention than posting on Greg's list, Book of faces, or in printed media.
That Saabaru! Had a crazy history. Was in parts in a garage in Florida for years. Was posted almost complete with 6 speed for less than $5k for a month or so, maybe longer? Someone finally bought it and probably hastily put together and sold it on C&B for $26k! Before the sale went through the engine blew so it was a no sale. Guy who has it now bought it, and I believe that is the owner of ESX (famous for the red with stripes limited edition STIs built in 2005 and then again in 2015). Yes, that guy. I’m curious about the current engine though again. Did they just buy this and throw an engine together in it or was the engine actually carefully put in like you should expect for a car you actually care about?
Man I really should polish up the WRX and send it to auction, These things are ending at some serious dollar amounts lol
yeah the prices of even cheap JDM imports is crazy now because there's so many importers buying them and marking them up a few thousand "because JDM" then the "value" is suddenly $7 k over value. last I checked I could still import something direct through a broker for around $7-10k total for a run of the mill not-a-skyline type car.
Yeah. It’s just the fact that JDM and post office delivery vehicle are the same layout. I wonder if the USPS had to pay a few grand over on each sweet rhd Subaru wagon that they imported to deliver our mail. I’m sure that those weren’t “twin turbos”. But yeah, I could see the $7-10k for it.
