Dent or no dent, there is no way in hell I'd buy a used sti with carbon fiber fenders. The unrepaired dent and cracked fender just shores up my suspicions of the type of owner we're talking about.

    http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/3275929780.html

I want to give everyone a heads up on this, AVOID this car. I spent the better part of a day tracking down the previous owner, who happens to live in New Hampshire since the car has been modified I wanted to know if it had been tuned for the mods or not and if the timing belt was done etc.

Here is what I was told:

She traded the car in because it was having multiple issues. She was having to replace spark plugs/coil packs every 6 months.
The car is consuming approx 1 quart of oil every 1k miles, uncertain if it was the engine or turbo or both. I spoke with the dealer who serviced it in NH and they said it came in with a "compression issue" and 9 CEL's, there are no more CEL's that I saw, not sure how they disappeared.
She said it was misfiring, it had an accessport on it but it locked up and no longer works.

The timing belt has not been done, it has 2 bent wheels and the brakes look like they need to be replaced when I saw it.

I informed the guys trying to sell this of all these issues because they seemed like decent guys, but they are quickly proving they are very shady. They are taking the approach that if they don't check the engine they can have deniability. They think they can easily get a dealership to reflash it back to stock and swap the parts, which maybe they can but it doesn't address all the other issues. I was dealing with Cory, the other guy is Paul. They basically said that their mechanic "Serge" doesn't think there is any issues with the motor, I laughed and asked how that proves there isn't a problem if you haven't checked it.

Yeah, I'd guess the fact that it doesn't show the license plates indicates it's not a Minnesota car, and is in fact some stolen images.... Either that or there are so many hidden problems that it's not even worth it for 5500. Pick one? :p Also, I've never seen an STi with light gray leather interior or heard one described as "fully muscle."

Yeah I figured something was a up. Haha. Unless the guy has been living under a rock and doesn't know what he has. But highly doubtful.

Make sure not to use your primary email to contact the seller if you're planning on testing whether or not it's a real offer!

Im glad you did your homework and didn't buy a car from those crooks. I bought a car from them and after doing a lil research I found out it has extreme frame rail damage and should have had a salvage title.. Every car Advantage one LLC sells has had a bad history, and omg if u go on their web site the dodge stealth the have posted as sold was down to the bare frame when I was there last January and now look at it and read what they say...

between the shifter meant for a manually shifted auto, the speaker pods, and the voice in the back (or front) of your mind reminding you that you're driving the ugliest car on the road, this seems like an incredibly cumbersome and difficult car to drive.

    But it "gets compliments"

I think that is a good selling point right there.
