    11k is a bit high for a bugeye unless it has some serious mods/maintenance done or is stupid clean/low miles.

    An 02-03 with bolt-ons isn't going to be worth close to 11k. I don't even see tuning on there. Some of those mods...yeah, there are better 02-03's out there that are far less molested that you can pick up for around 8k.

    I was there for about 11 days last week. There was a super clean winless 2007 WRB WRX at the Toyota dealership in South STL (kings highway) that I passed multiple times a day. Would be worth a look if you are making the 9.5 hour drive.

    It might be worth more to you but its not original. It's modified so that actually drops the value. The corollas and supras from the 80s might fetch those prices in good condition.

    Tranny is probably on its way out?

    Hard to say. I got what I think was a really good deal on my car, it came from Nevada, and this is it's first MN winter... But my suggestion would be to go on auto trader, enter the search criteria the same as the car yer lookin at, and leave the "range" open to the whole country. It'll give you a really good idea of what similar cars are goin for across the nation. Don't be in a hurry to the car you really want. I took my time, and took almost a year, and the right car fell into my lap at a great price.
