Official Craigslist Thread

It's the son's car, but the dad who owns the dealership is selling it through the dealership. The son also cannot sell the car by himself, it has to go through the dad. I was not happy after driving 3 hours only to be turned away because I got there 10 min before the dealership closed when I thought I was meeting them regardless of dealership hours....they were informed I wouldn't be able to make it until 4 as well.

 

My brother has been looking into buying that car as well. Were you able to talk them down at all?

 

I didn't even get the chance to talk to them/look at the car let alone negotiate the price. I've been contacting the son since jan 17th and cumulatively we were going to make today work as him and myself both work 70+ hours a week. From what I could see inside the dealership window the car is really clean but due to unfortunate circumstances (his father is a dick) we weren't able to make today work. Originally he told me he doesn't want to even sell it until the salt is off the roads. The son was going to hold the car for me until spring but then for whatever reason he had a change of heart and decided to sell it to me sooner. Good luck talking down though as you won't be dealing with the son but rather his dad whom owns the dealership. Hope anyone else who looks at this doesn't have to go through what I did today....6 hours in a 96 beater civic isn't the most comfortable.

 

That's rough man. Out of curiosity, why does the son have to sell it through his dad's dealership? Is there some sort of tax incentive I wonder...?

Also the car doesn't make this much power if that wasn't obvious, and the car has been driven in the winter...

 

It's Brian's old STI...the car is on its 3rd owner right now. The guy who had it the last 2 years kept it in the garage all winter and only drove it a few weeks in the summer so I'm assuming thats what he means by never driven in the winter. Power claim is a load of BS lol I think everyone here knows that.

I've passed this one on the way to napa a few times. It is very red! Needs red flaps though . I will forever love the GF wagons.

 

The ad says "access port tuned to 18psi, 403 hp" and it looks like stock turbo...there is no way in hell that is truthful.

GC8? 15k miles!?!

 

Good price for the car... 7 years ago and 50K less miles. I sold my 05 sti a few years back and felt like I got a good price at 18k

 

Yeah the dude says he is 50 years old in his post, he forgot to mention he is bat**** crazy.

 

I couldn't help myself so I actually emailed the seller asking him why he thinks his car is worth an extra $7,000. Don't think he will respond but I am curious.

 

Is this real? I seen this guy repost his sale tons of times for awhile now. I emailed him 2 times an hour after he reposted his car but he never replies back.

Um...Correct me if I'm wrong, but does pic 1 and pic 4 look like different cars? The first photo looks like this is a wagon (fenders), fourth photo looks like an STi (rear fenders), and the colors don't seem to match...

 

Factory Transformer upgrade.

First pic appears to have roof rails too.

 

In the third picture you can see the back window of the wagon

 

Definitely a wagon I can tell from the roof rails.
