Looks like he put a lot of money into that...but doesn't mention the transmission. It seems like it might just be a dyno queen. No way the stock 5 speed could handle that power except for a dyno pull.

This Forester used to me mine. I just saw it on CL last night. I bought it in October 2007 for $17995 down in Stone Moutain, GA. The car had 7000 miles on it when I bought it. I sold it last year for not much less than that. It had 58K on it.

There's no chance he's getting near what he's asking for it. I don't believe it's the guy I sold it to, because he was in Wisconsin.

I have a feeling someone left the car running unattended, because the lgt for sure isn't getting stolen without the key, and I'm pretty sure the NAs are the same way with all their security stuff

Ok so a guy bought this from them early this winter and brought it to us a week later with a noise. Ended up tearing it down and the engine was junk. The thing was just hacked together. Its pribably one of the biggest pieces of junk ive ever seen! They are also an "extended warranty" company. I ended up putting all the engine parts in the trunk and they towed it away. I feel sorry for whoever buys it

The buyer needs to report them to BBB...and maybe just punch the owner in the nutsack for being a slimy ****.

So, if I remember correctly this Spec B had a troll for sale thread of some teenager trying to profit off this car that sold in a prior MNSubaru thread. It looks like that thread has been deleted, which is disappointing because it gave some history on the car. Anyone recall? Opinions on what it's worth? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/cto/4417666020.html

Yeah that is the same dude. Number 113 spec b. Its not worth $12k even IMO. He has an unspecified amount of damage to the rear that he hasnt fixed and it has been driven for a long time with an aftermarket downpipe but no tune...ticking time bomb.
Even if the seller Reuben wasn't a total idiot I would say stay away from this car unless it is well below $10k. (I believe he paid $7k-8k for it).

Thanks for the input. For anyone looking, this is what he sent me:

"Its not the original clutch. A new one was put in at 85k when the engine was being worked on. I don't know off the top of my head what was exactly done but I do have a receipt in the car. Ill send you a picture of that and the damage in a bit. "

Looked at this tonight. Very clean car, power steering rack leak that is being looked further into. Ideas on what it's worth? KBB gave a value around 9500, not sure I can get them that far down even though they offered me more than I expected on my trade-in

The guy Rueben who is selling it is slimy and I personally wouldn't buy this car from him. An excerpt from his FS thread a few weeks ago when he tried to sell it on here:
"The car was sold in January to the new buyer (douchebag Reuben) for a price of $7,500.00 with a set of Spec B summer wheels with good tires and 06/07 wrx wheels with new winter tires. It had a Momo shift knob as well as the remote car starter."
The damage happened right before he bought it and he paid $7.5k so really he should be fine taking $9k considering the poor condition of the car (if you decide to buy from this idiot at all).
Again, the engine has been driven (probably very hard) with an aftermarket downpipe without a tune and before that the engine blew which caused head damage (per the recipes he sent you). I would steer clear of this car unless he agrees to a very low price and you are prepared for/budget for more problems that pop up.

Edit: just realized you were talking about the white one you linked after. Then what I wrote is not applicable lol. I don't know anything about the second car you linked but looks like it's from Morries which might mean power train warranty and could be worth that price.

lol no worries. Fully taking the "that guy is a douchecanoe consensus" and have moved on, I just thought people would get a kick out of him asking 12k for a novelty car with that kind of rear damage.

There is currently no powertrain warranty it's public before wholesale (so, as is). They did offer me 6200 for a car I bought for 6000 40k miles ago (but have also spent a few grand in maintenance/cosmetic mods since). I'm waiting to see if the steering rack needs replacing. If so I'm going to walk, but if they'll lower their price and it's something small like on O-ring, I may swap my current car for the turbo...

It's obviously overpriced, I was hoping to get a consensus value on it. KBB Fairmarket was like 9600... I just wanted to know if that seemed like a decent price or if that's low given the midwest gives Subarus an inflated value, etc.

    Buy Tash's built LGT wagon!
But yeah, $11.5 for that one at morries is real high. Nada says it should be worth $8.5k clean retail (from dealer)...

I agree. Seems like a solid build from the mod list but it is safe to assume 99% of craigslist sellers are slimy scammers.
The side skirts and rear bumper body kit look terrible but it apparently has CF doors in addition to the hood, trunk, and driveshaft. Thats some weight savings there.

I promise not to post another LGT here for at least another week... BUT I think there's a decent chance someone here knows this car based on what has been done to it.
    http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/cto/4428202194.html

The current owner knows little to nothing about Subaru's so I was hoping to get some history from the prior owner and see if it had been tuned.

    From owner:
"Hi there. I purchased this car about two months ago but I didn't realize when my wife said 4wd wagon she was actually wanting a small SUV type car. Anyway I'm no subaru expert but from what I know all mods were done to the car before the previous Owner bought it. It has a strut brace, AEM cold air intake with a KnN filter. 3inch invidia s/s turbo back exhaust pipe but sounds totally stock NOT even the subaru per. Has drilled and slotted breaks all round. Calipers look very large to me and almost look powder coated but may be stock not sure. Wheel bearings seem ok to me but I also have 4 new drilled and slotted disks and pads also I'm pretty sure I also have 4 new wheel bearings. The previous owner gave me these item new in boxes when I bought the car. I do not have the stock air box."
