Looks nice. Not having a real tune would be a concern. Do you know what external waste gate means?

Yeah I know what it means but not much more. In general, I'm pretty good at tinkering and would attempt to slowly modify the base map tune using open source but it'd be quite the amateur experience. If all else fails I'd take it to get tuned.

I plan on contacting the guy later this week if its still available. Does anybody have any tips/questions?

The 2.5 (Linear) with Auto makes a great commuting/winter car though! I like the color, I think that's the Satin Grey? The Dark Silver Metallic is also nice.
    It's super clean for 970,000 miles ;)

I don't disagree with you. It's definitely a car I put my scopes on as well. I'm still debating in my head whether or not to get something tame/boring or something I can modify a little bit and make fun. The other thing is I don't want it to have a loud exhaust if I were to mod it. Borla hush seems like a good exhaust or a an electric cut out could work. Just don't know how it would hold up during the winter months.

On that note. If anybody finds a decent wrx wagon at a reasonable price. LMK!

I should of mentioned I'm looking for a turn key vehicle.

As for the first one you posted. I don't know Subaru's that well but when timing belts go, it's can't be good. I'd be better off purchasing mitchum's car and replacing the motor and buying a new short block for that.

2nd one - Rusty rear quarters and that gahd awful sound system. I've been speaking with this guy and he tried to fix one side with bondo and the other side is just a massive hole. It looks like it was in a hail storm as well and it's got cottage cheese showing like a fat bish at walmart. Unless there is a fix for this rust like new panels, I'd be willing to go look at it.

3rd one - bondo'd rear quarter looks like crap and it's a salvage title. Not touching that.

As for mitchum's car. I have somewhat limited funds as to what I can purchase/ do with a vehicle. A short block, timing components, oil pump, and head studs alone are $3050 shipped and I would still need to clean the heads, etc.

I also wouldn't mind the sedans either. Kind of sucks their rear seats don't fold down and people want ridiculous monies for them.

Timing belts are routine maint. on a subaru.
But anyway, are you basically looking for a cheap subaru to hop in and drive for years?

I think you can get that stuff for a fair bit less than 3k, if you put some effort into sourcing?
